I think that sometimes we forget that shopping local also includes shopping for services.

As a travel advisor my services to my customers are actually free. I get paid directly from the vacation destination. This money is already factored into the price that you are paying. I know, my price is the same as if you do it yourself. But, when you book your vacation yourself, you are giving money back to the big corporations. But when you book with me, you’re shopping local😊

You might be a pro at your desired destination but are you a pro if the unexpected happens? And would you want to deal with that or just call your travel agent and say ”here’s the deal, help!” Then you have you’re very own professional to help you with your options.
