This weekend last year we had friends and family join us in the middle of nowhere, Florida, to attend Camp Fiddy in honor of Jon’s BIG bday. We traveled back to summer camp in 1973- bugs, heat, and all. We told stories, visited, sat, laughed, grilled, played, swam, zipped, gamed, costumed, sang, danced, crafted, ate, and drank. The preparation was as much fun as the weekend and I loved crafting details to share. It was a crazy intersection of people from our varied walks of life and a reminder how much fun it is to play. I hope whatever you’re doing this weekend you get to do it with cool people. ♥️♥️

I’m not really a spooky season girl, but when your favorite bonus kid is a little bit goth and a little bit rock and roll- you make sure she has the best day ever. Because she deserves it. ♥️ We had the most fun planning, crafting, shopping, and building all of the details for this a smidge dark and very chickeny wedding. (Side note, getting married in October is a brilliant idea. The weather is delightful).

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

DIY headboard done! This is a great way to add some wow to a bed that comes in a furnished apartment/dorm room. It was under $60 and we are happy with how it came out.

Happy Saturday friends! This is the last weekend the kiddos will be in Key West with us as we work on this project. They may get to pop in for a few days when the house is completed before they go back to school. It’s been fun to share this place with them. We are digging island life and I think it suits them well also.

My bees are working hard- that means I have to. 😍

At then end of this video you hear husband say, “What day did we get married?” I said, “May 16th.” He said, “We got married on a Monday?” No, we didn’t. I’m here to celebrate our anniversary which we both thought was tomorrow. Thanks to an alert on our phone we realized it the 14th. Oops, yes, we both had the date wrong and turns out it was yesterday. We laughed. Ha! You can’t get mad when you both mess it up. We think that we probably confused the day with the year, oh well. We decided to pretend it’s today. ♥️

So glad I went to Key West for a last minute, relaxing weekend with husband- ha, NOT! Went down to help him install these awesome new doors. Can you imagine the view when the pool gets installed? This will be a “before and after” for the books.
