Hey Friends! Life has been a bit hectic lately (which has been a good thing) and I'm just finally getting around to sharing some pictures/videos from our latest excursion adventure in the Cancun area with our family. Videos posted in comments because FB business accounts are stupid and won't allow me to share both at the same time.

This was truly one of the best days of our vacation! A HUGE shoutout to Living Dreams Mexico & our tour guide Mauricio for providing this experience that we will never forget.

First off, if you know our family at all....we aren't super crazy adventurous outdoorsy people 🤣 Yes, we love to travel. We love pools and beaches and the resort life of being pampered lol. So, doing an excursion like this was definitely "outside of our box" and a big step outside of our comfort zone.

I knew if we were going to try a day like this; we needed something different. Not a big group tour. I booked us a private guided tour through a very reputable company (that I've previously booked my clients through), this way we could go at our own pace. If anyone needed a rest, wanted to skip a part or spend more time somewhere...this wasn't an issue at all. This also allowed for our guide to give us all the details; the background on the cenotes, the Mayan people, time to ask and answer all the questions and time to bond with our family too.

Our tour guide, Mauricio, picked us up bright and early at our resort to start our day ziplining and swimming through 4 different cenotes in the Mayan Jungle. We thought for sure that Demi might back out once she saw the first zipline where you let go and drop right into the water beneath you. Nope, these kids did it once and wanted more and more! What a rush!

Our day was filled with several stops throughout the same Mayan park. Swimming, cliff jumping, ziplining and canoeing. Drake was the true explorer of all of us. Swimming into the dark cave ...with bats! I was a brave mama and even joined him for a few minutes. The cenotes were just so majestic and peaceful.

The Mayan people then had a lunch buffet prepared for us with some of the most delicious food. Authentically made tortillas for our tacos, smoked meat falling off the bone...the kids said it was their favorite meal of vacation. Followed up by some real deal Churros that Demi would barely share with us 🤣

Our final stop was the Sea Turtle Sanctuary. Unfortunately, the ocean wasn't too cooperative that day so our turtle experience was short lived. But it certainly didn't overshadow the entire incredible journey that we experienced together that day.

This has definitely encouraged me to want to book some more "adventurous" excursions for our family and get off the resorts a bit more. Afterall, we've been fortunate to travel to these beautiful places so why not take advantage of truly experiencing some of the magic these destinations offer ✨️ 🇲🇽 I will absolutely be recommending these excursions to all of my clients who are looking for some adrenaline and adventure during their vacation. And a more personalized experience!

PS. A little Cenote history lesson 📚The Ring of Cenotes is a UNESCO heritage site consisting of sinkholes formed when a large meteorite struck the Yucatán Peninsula, 66 million years ago. This meteorite is known as the The Chicxulub Impactor. It was responsible for triggering the mass extinction of dinosaurs and 75% of earth’s plant and animal species.
