There is so much to do in York and surrounding areas.
Here are a few things to might like to do
The Vale of York is one of York’s premier lodge sites. It is well maintained and offers the security of a gated community. The village of Strensall has a choice of shops to stock up with holiday essentials and a choice of pubs. You will find local shops, pub and restaurant within 1 mile of the lodge.
Strensall Common is a Site of Special Scientific Interest and is one a just a few remaining lowland heaths in Yorkshire. It is only minutes from the lodges, with over 500 acres to explore and is the ideal place enjoy a walk and take in the refreshing Yorkshire air.
One for the whole family is Piglets Adventure Farm, which is around a 10 minute drive from the lodge! It’s a fun filled family day out! With hands-on animal fun, lots of action packed adventure play, and home to Truffles the pig!
The stately home of Castle Howard, home to Brideshead Revisited, is a short drive away and has a packed events programme throughout the summer season.
Bus links to the city from the village are regular and the park and ride into York is also just a short drive away, where you can visit the likes of: York Dungeon, Flamingo Land, York Maze, York Racecourse, Jorvic Viking Centre and many more!
A little further afield are the stunning North York Moors and the East Coast seaside towns of Scarborough, Filey and Whitby.
