Lake Updates: We are keeping all guest informed of the lake conditions on Lake Greenbriar as to when it will be reopened.

As of June 17:
We received notice late last night that the Holly Lake Ranch officials believe the lake will be closed through at least mid-July.

As of June 11:
Lake Greenbriar, the lake our home is on, has just been closed to swimming, boating, and kayaking, as of Friday, June 11, due to blue-green algae. As a member of Holly Lake Ranch, I will get weekly updates as to the lake conditions, but cannot be certain that lake amenities will be available for you and your family.

You are still able to fish. The ranch has 2 swimming pools and Holly Lake on the west side is open for swimming, paddle boating, and kayaking. We have received record rainfall late spring and it has led to an algae bloom on the lake. We want bring this to your attention and let you know that you will be able to enjoy the beautiful views and do pretty much everything else that’s available on the property, except for swimming and kayaking in the lake.
