MVA is a one bedroom apartment (approx 500sqft) above our detached garage with beautiful views over the meadow and out to the Irish Sea.

We cycled to the Halfway House, Ballygally tonight for my birthday tea. Tasty food and great service. Definitely burned off some calories on the way home!

Delighted to see that an alcohol license has been granted for this fab eatery. It gives a Mediterranean feel to be able to eat at the sea side. Send us some more sunshiny please!

It's official! You can now legally enjoy a glass of wine (or whatever takes your fancy) on the promenade with your lunch...and just in time for all the waterbased festival activities too! We are thrilled that our pavement cafe liquor licence has been granted! 📃😎🥂💦

Throw back to my sister’s birthday brunch last Wednesday .gleno We sat out in the garden to eat and it is such a chilled atmosphere.........except for the four little people that kept us on our toes! The food was delicious and the company even better. @ The Dairy

We have just had a great few days away Shrewsbury. Perfect for couples, families with younger and older children and even the pets can stay too! We stayed on a standard pitch with our caravan but you can rent a lodge if you prefer the finer things in life 😉. We felt very safe on the site with great social distancing measures, time slotted pool sessions and very clean facilities. There are endless activities to take part in like fishing, kayaking, paddle boarding, tie dye workshop, movie tent 🏕 @ Love2Stay

Honey Bees

We have a few hives of honey bees that live across the field from our house. As a guest you would never know that they were there. They are so facinating to watch. They are as busy as my husband on the daily!!

Bird of Prey on Sallagh Hill

My daily exercise when lockdown began led me on a country walk to Sallagh Hill on a beautiful Spring morning where I felt at one with nature and the only sounds were the little lambs and magnificent birds of prey. Im not quite sure which bird it was.

About us

My husband Chris and I (Gemma) have lived on Weyburn Road for 5 years. We were fortunate enough to have the privilege of building our forever home. We have two boys Spencer is 4 and Elliot is 2. It was my husbands dream to have a man cave above his garage but I figured it would be more practical to rent it out as a self catering apartment. The views are too good not to share with the world.

The apartment is approx 500sqft. You enter via the external staircase into the open plan kitchen living area which has all the mod cons including washer/dryer and dishwasher. There is a sofa bed which easily sleeps two. The bathroom is modern with shower, hand basin and wc and bedroom hosts a kingsize bed.

We are well located just a ten minute drive from Larne Ferry and 35 minute drive from either George Best City airport or Aldergrove. We have had many guests staying with us that have been attending weddings at either Ballygally Castle or Hillmount House. We are a few minute drive from each wedding venue.

There is lots to do in and around our area for both families and couples. which I will collate this for you in a photo album.
