Dear Reader,
On March 15, the Vietnamese government approved the reopening of the country for international tourists. Unilateral visa waiver policy for citizens of 13 countries: Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Spain, Sweden, UK, Russia, Japan and South Korea will be extended until March 14, 2025. Thus, citizens of these countries entering Vietnam are exempt from visa for 15 days from the date of entry. Visa on arrival (VOA) and E-visa will apply to citizens of 80 countries.
To enter Vietnam, foreign travelers have to meet the following requirements:
Pre-departure:
โข A valid passport that has more than 6 months left to expire.
โข Valid visa for foreigners that can be applied for with the Vietnam embassy in your country of origin or apply for an E-visa if you are not on the visa exemption list.
โข Have health insurance or travel insurance that covers COVID-19 treatment with a minimum coverage of $10,000
On Arrival:
โข Travelers have to self-monitor their health during their stay in Vietnam.
