Late Fall at the Farmhouse
Love this footage of the landscape surrounding the farmhouse paired with Peter Donnelly ‘s composition. The leaves and snowflakes seem to be dancing. https://soundcloud.com/pmdonnellymusic
On the Old Logging Road
Who else enjoys the poetry of Robert Frost? And walking on less traveled roads? Was thinking of his poem “The Road Not Taken” during my most recent hike along the logging road behind the farmhouse. Wanted to share a bit of it with you.
Colonial Christmas
The Story Homestead is looking festive. Come and enjoy your stay!
Fireworks at the farmhouse! 💥 🇺🇸 😊
Peacefulness on the Mascoma River. Easy access just minutes away. Beaver, Orioles, red winged blackbirds, ducklings, and dragonflies. Canoe, two kayaks, paddles and life vests included with your stay. https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/38931170
Three minutes from the Story Homestead. With 29 islands to explore. Perfect for picnics. Lots of wild blueberry bushes. Tons of natural shoreline on over 300 acres of water. Grafton Pond is just one of the many bodies of water nearby.
Skipping Stones, Grafton Pond, NH
How many times can you make a stone skip? The world record, according to the Guinness Book of Records, is eighty-eight times! Kurt "Mountain Man" Steiner, at Red Bridge in the Allegheny National Forest, Pennsylvania in 2013 beat the previous record of sixty-five skips. Sounds amazing! Though you may not achieve record-breaking skips, we consider the numerous lakes and ponds around the Story Homestead to be unmatched. Come stay for a visit and try your hand at stone-skipping!
