Had my ever first paragliding experience with Mirae Sports company in Yangpyeong on 3 August 2017 with my Dad and brother. Yes, you are right, age is not a problem at all as the trainers and equipments were excellent! Never regretted my choice in during paragliding at this location instead of Danyang for the higher elevation and its closer proximity to Seoul. Plus point for overseas travelers like myself. To kmovie and drama lovers, the amazing scenery of Yangpyeong and this area has been greatly featured on screen and I would recommend you to come and see it up close and personal yourself. More so than the flight experience, the hospitality from Lady boss Cho and Sam Kang is something that made our whole trip much sweeter and memorable. Two thumbs up!

1. Taking-off

You all familiar with the Korean TV show: 2 Days & 1 Night?

Last year on end of August, Mr. Park Bo-gum took the crew for a paragliding in Danyang.
Bo-gum's mission was to earn the credit by mileage on how much he and the crew traveled Korea!
And his choice was to fly for a mileage!

Did you know that you can enjoy water sports at the center of Seoul?

Summer season in Korea is a vacation period and often the roads to the suburbs and out of Seoul are filled with traffic. So why take more than 4 hours drive when you can get there by world’s best subway system?
Go for a water sports with your friend at Han River. There, you can learn how to water ski, wakeboard, and ride fun boats with your friends!

1) How to Water Ski

Water ski is basically skiing on the water. Once you get in the water, you will hang on to the strap as the boat pulls. When pulled, roll your body like a hedgehog and pull your knees to your chest and hold your ankle upside so that the ski receives the force from the water, lifting you up to the surface. Once you get the speed and becomes stable, stand up and face forward; then you will be able to feel the vibration, energy, thrill of the river. It is a truly magnificent experience!

2) How to Wakeboard

Wakeboarding is just like snowboarding on the water and how to start is similar to water skiing. Once the boat pulls you, wakeboard will be pushed and will try to wake you up. Once you face straight forward, turn sideways. Once you get used to it, move your center of gravity or feel the board with your weight and move around. As you get used to it, move on to the next step!

3) Fun Boats: Banana Boat

You don’t need a description for fun boats, do you? Hop on to the boat grab on to it and feel the wild distraction of the water! There are tons of fun boats so take a look and grab what you like!

Safety

There has never been an accident! But just in case, insurance is included in the service fee. First of all, you start off with a safety training which will prepare you perfectly for your adventure. Moreover, a professional instructor is with you all the time and takes care of everything.

Water Sports is open to all ages, even children starting from 5 years old can join (There is special gear for children available) and adults up to 65 years! Water Sports would surely make an exciting trip with the friends and families! 😉

Leisure Korea is hosting a event to take customers to go and watch Chuncheon Leisure Sports Tournament!

This Summer, from 25th of August to 27th of August, Chuncheon is hosting a leisure sports tournament.

Every summer in Korea, there is a big leisure sports tournaments. Last year, there was a water ski and wakeboard competition at Busan.

And this year similar competition will be held in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. You will get to see the professional players competing various sports:

1) Action sports
2) Inline Slalom
3) RC car on-road
4) Sports Climbing
5) IDO Latin Dance
6) Water Ski
7) Drone Racing
8) Ice Hockey

Also, spectators can participate in all those events!
They have experiencing zones for everyone so if you want to blow the summer heat and have fun with new and sporty people,

Hello, everyone.

Every Friday and Saturday Leisure Korea will be your local host and introduce water sports including water ski or wakeboard beginner lesson and two fun boat rides. You can come as an individual or group.

Highlights of the Activity

Water Ski or Wakeboard beginner lesson
: You can choose either water ski or wakeboard lesson. The lesson is consisted of basic posture instructions when in the river taught on the deck and two rides on the river.

Motor Boat Ride
: We will see and have fun on the motor boat while others ride the wakeboard or water ski

Fun Boat Ride
: After all the instruction is done, everyone will going to ride a banana boat. This will be dynamic and will make us all wet!

Chi-mek (Chicken & Beer) Party at Han River &
: Once the activity is finished, every participant will go for a chicken & beer party at either at the riverside or nearby chicken place. (Everyone pays for what they had.)

Exciting Video and Photos
: I am going to shoot the whole process from the beginning and make a video and leave nice pictures and share them to all the participants. ​

Make New Friends (Locals & International)
: Share super-exciting time together and make new connections!

The cost will be approximately 100,000 KRW for the water sports and chicken & beer party.

Paragliding in Korea has begun with Danyang Paragliding. Since 1989, Danyang paragliding implemented the tandem flight in Korea at 1991 and since then operating the service.

One of the pilot is a national player who had participated in international competitions held in France.

This shop has been featured in many famous Korean shows such as 1D2N, News live today, Ssanghwa jum and so on. Famous Kdrama star Bogum also flew at the shop.

The reason forits popularity is because of their quality. While most other shops share the take-off site and landing site, they exclusively have their own sites only for them to use meaning well managed and clear.

Also, they have video clips in English to educate the customers about the safety. As the mountain is behind the flying team, it blocks a rapid wind providing gentle condition to fly.
