Some days at work are more exciting than others 🤩

Like for instance the other day when I witnessed the uncovering of a 1200 years old Viking ship, and got to film it as part of a coming YouTube-episode 🎥😮

If you ever been to the old Viking Ship Museum in Oslo you might recognise the Oseberg Viking Ship behind the canvas. She’s a real beauty 👊

Hei hei 👋 I hope you are enjoying your week. I sure am, having some coffee and a skolebrød (school bun) a typical Norwegian pastry.

Some eat the skolebrød from one end to the other, but personally I’ve always eaten around the center custard, to save it for the end. It’s for sure the most tasty part 😋 How would you eat it?

Oslo, the city where the sun always shines... 🌞 Not completely true, but believe it or not, we do get about 2500 hours of sun every year. That's 6.8 sunny hours per day (!) 😆, factor in all the rainy hours, and you'll get a solid number of pure sun filled days.

Anyways, I shared some early spring photos of Oslo on my Patreon-page. Feel free to enlist, and you'll get access as well, together with 83 other Enlisted Vikings and VIP Vikings 🥰

Heading to Bergen and wondering where to stay? 😎

In this neighborhood guide to Bergen I focus on the smaller neighborhoods and areas within Bergenhus. These are all centrally located and most attractions are withing walking distance. Also, you’ll find it easy to reach these parts of time whether you come from the airport or with a train or bus.

A few weeks ago in Ålesund I had the chance to try some brown cheese cake for the first time 🤩

Oh my, served together with lingonberry jam I think I have a new favourite cake 🍰 😋

I highly recommend a visit to Storfjorden Ice Cream (yes they also have brown cheese ice cream). And when you drop by say hei hei to Silje who’s running the place 👏

Wow! Yesterday I had the chance to get an exclusive preview of the new Museum of the Viking Age in Oslo 🤩

I'm planning a YouTube-episode, and I was invited for some location scouting 🧐

So cool to see the old ships and how they were all wrapped up, ready to be moved from the old to the new part. And not to forget seeing the new museum and how nice it is going to be 🔥

Everyone with an interest for the Vikings truly have something to look forward to. Finally the ships and the artifacts are getting the space that they deserve 👍
