Walking distance from the ferry is this spacious and luxurious home with a waterfront view. Enjoy the world renowned KI produce at local cellar doors, restaurants and cafes, or buy some yummy treats home to enjoy at your leisure. A full size fridge and freezer offers the flexibility to bring your own provisions across from the mainland. A well equipped chef's kitchen tempts you to cook up a storm and entertain on the porch, lingering over the sunsets with a South Australian wine.

~The space~
This home has 4 rooms, each with a king bed, 2 of which can be split into singles instead. Just let us know your preferred bedding configuration at the time of booking and we will have your beds made up ready for you to relax (all linen provided). Two rooms share an ensuite with a spa bath. In addition, there is a separate toilet, shower and bath.

Awaken to a sun drenched open plan living space that invites you to laze around with a good book, soaking up the views!

An empty block next door ensures privacy and allows the perfect place for kids to play outside (backyard cricket anyone?) and Penneshaw beach is only a couple of minutes walk away.

Life is made easy with a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer.

~Guest access~
Guests can access the whole of the house as well as the empty block next door, also owned by us. The garage however is not a guest area.

~Other things to note~
Pets are more then welcome on our property, there is no fenced outdoor space however we do own the empty block next door which your pet is free to run around on. Pets incur an additional once off $100 cleaning fee. The standard cleaning fee incorporates both cleaning and linen hire.

~Pricing and house rules~
KI Blue is priced at $295 per night or $440 to $490 in peak booking dates. We also have a four-night minimum when you stay with us. If you book for a week stay you'll get a 10% discount and a 25% discount if you book for a month! If you book directly through us on Facebook there will be no additional commission charged. There is a set cleaning fee of $300 and linen fee of $100 with a cost of $25 for extra guests after 2 people per night. Check-in is anytime after 4pm and checkout is 10am. Our home is suited to children and infants of all ages, we are able to provide items such as a high chair and cot on request. We allow pets in our home, so your fluffy best friends can enjoy a wonderful getaway with you! Pets incur an extra $100 cleaning fee. There is no smoking, parties, or events allowed. We have wifi for you to use and the house can hold up to 8 people. There are 4 bedrooms (6 beds) and 2 bathrooms. The beds can be arranged in king-single or king beds as requested. ~Flinders Chase National Park~
If you have a car, visiting the Flinders Chase National Park is a must! The open, rugged, wilderness landscape combined with countless wildlife will be a memory that’s hard to forget. While you’re there make sure to visit the renowned Remarkable Rocks, Admirals Arch, Weirs Cove and Cape du Couedic Lighthouse. After the 2019/20 summer fires 96% of the park was burnt, since then National Parks and Wildlife Service South Australia has been working hard to regenerate the park and support the recovery of native wildlife. As of Saturday the 4th of July, the park has opened to day-visitors and until further notice will be free of charge! Whilst the bushfires have resulted in some changes and there might not be as many walking trails, there is still plenty to do and see. Whenever we bring guests to our home in KI we make sure to take them to see the Remarkable Rocks and Admirals Arch, the rush of cold salty air on your face as you take in the truly magnificent view around you is not one you want to miss out on. Our children love watching the seals by Admirals Arch and have the time of their lives at Remarkable Rocks. ~Little Sahara Sand Dunes~
1 hour away you'll find the Little Sahara Adventure Center. With levels of thrill and adrenalin to suit everyone, this is an experience you are unlikely to forget. For $37 you can hire a sandboard or toboggan to flawlessly surf and slide the dunes. The Little Sahara dune system covers 2 square kilometers of dunes, varying in size and gradient. For those who love riding a bike, you'll love the guided fat bike tour, or maybe you might want to join the guided walking tour. The dunes are surrounded by a beautiful scene of wildlife and native plants. This is a really fun activity, especially for families with children. ~Living Honey~
Just a 20-minute drive across the island you'll discover Living Honey. Kangaroo Island is a Ligurian Bee Sanctuary and has the purest strain of Ligurian bees in the world. Living Honey is run by Shawn and Anetha with the help of their 5 children. In 1998 Shawn began working with bees for a hobby before realizing beekeeping could be more than that and starting up the business. They have 200 productive hives and in a good year will extract a whopping 20 tons of honey. They avoid using chemicals in all aspects of their beekeeping and farming and their honey is to die for. Their farm is filled with different animals such as Kaz and Angel, their friendly dogs, Faith and her son Angus, their cows and so many more. If you're visiting in the spring or summer be sure to check out their beekeeping experience. Either in a group or private session you can see first hand what being a beekeeper involves, you even get to hold a frame of bees! Our children loved hearing Shawn passionately talk about the process of extracting honey, and getting to see the machinery. ~About us~
Geoff and Sabrina live in Adelaide as healthcare workers and love spending their weekends at their home in Kangaroo Island. After years of sharing their property via various domains, they moved to use Airbnb. Maintaining a near-perfect rating and achieving the title of a 'superhost' they decided it was time to share their wonderous property using Facebook. They love heading across to KI for a lazy weekend of pure relaxation, but often find themselves tempted by the stunning walks and invigorating ocean swims. Their children love KI - backyard cricket and a beach and shops just a short walk away, which tempts them away from movies at home! When they entertain guests they always take their car so they can share with them Seal Bay, Remarkable Rocks, Flinders Chase National Park...the vistas on the island drives and hidden beaches are spectacular.
