Such a sad situation and It could have been an honest mistake. As a traveler leaving your Country it is your responsibility to review and know the rules and regulation of where you are going to. It is your responsibility to go to this link below and be aware and informed of where you are going. I also highly recommend always when leaving the country go online to enroll in STEP the Smart Traveler Enrolment Program. If this was the bag he uses when he hunts he really should have gave it a good look prior to repacking. I hope the best for them and hope they get off of these charges but people need to wake up , when you leave the USA you are not special!
