Balboa Park and the San Diego Zoo. Could have spent a week at the park with all of the museums, gardens and shops on site.

Spent the WHOLE Day at Disneyland Park yesterday and still missed parts of it. Really liked the Star Wars area, the Rise of the Resistance ride is so well done. Headed south to San Diego today. Found some pickle flavoured soda and cotton candy. Opted for some great Mexican food and a root beer float instead.

It’s been a busy week onboard the Norwegian Bliss for the Expedia Cruises National Conference, but we have enjoyed a few hours in Mazatlan and Los Cabos along with some beautiful sunsets.

Spend yesterday at Universal Studios. Enjoyed the Harry Potter area, and a frozen butter beer. The back lot tour was cool with all of the movie sets. Off to board the Norwegian Bliss later today for an Expedia Cruises Conference.

Flew to Oahu on Tuesday. We hadn’t visited Oahu before when visiting Hawaii. It is a beautiful island. We had a busy day yesterday as we toured the island for a few hours before visiting the Polynesian Cultural centre. Such a great place. We enjoyed the evening Breath of Life show, pina coladas smoothies inside a pineapple and some temporary tattoos. Even got a quick visit to the grounds of the Laie temple, so beautiful!

Maui in the summer? Why? Because it is always beautiful here and it is always a great place to be. Drove the road to Hana yesterday. Had breakfast at Kihei Caffe our first morning. Found a different kind of “Hawaiian” shirt at Costco. Gotta find some more Maui root beer before we head out!

Last day of our Tulip Time Cruise. We were in Rotterdam this afternoon and Kinderdijk this morning. Rotterdam was heavily bombed during WWII and approximately 75% of the city was flattened. As a result there are many new buildings. Kinderdijk is a UNESCO site. There are 19 working windmills still on sight. They are used to pump the water out of the canals so that much of the agricultural land in The Netherlands does not flood. People actually volunteer to live in the windmills. In exchange for low rent they volunteer their time to work the windmills.

Back in The Netherlands this morning. Walked around Middelburg. Some of these buildings look old, but were destroyed during WWII and rebuilt and designed to fit in with the buildings that were not destroyed. The city wanted to retain its pre-war look.

In Ghent and Bruges, Belgium today. No pictures of the Belgian Frites, chocolates and waffles we enjoyed, just pictures of beautiful old buildings and cities.

Visit to the Floralia Show at the Castle of Groot-Bijgaarden in Belgium. Tulips and beautiful grounds!

Docked in Nijmegen today. 2 excursions today. The first few pictures are from Heeswijk Dinther Castle. Definitely not the most elaborate castle, but it still has a moat, an interesting story of a family feud and a room with a ceiling with china plates. The last couple of pictures are from the town of Arnhem. The church’s steeple was destroyed during WWII and has now been rebuilt. Also the remains of the city wall left from Roman times.

Just a few of the many pictures I took this morning at Keukenhof Gardens. They plant 7 MILLION bulbs by hand each year! It was amazing! And also one glorious picture of the sunset last night from the top deck of the Riverside Debussy as we overnighted in Amsterdam.

Arrived in Amsterdam early this morning. A beautiful blue sky day. Looking forward to our tulip time cruise on the Riverside Debussy. There were some beautiful chocolates in our room. Can’t wait to see what is on the supper menu. The staff have been so welcoming.

Aboard the beautiful Celebrity Ascent for her naming ceremony. So exciting to be aboard a new ship. 2 nights isn’t long enough to get to fully experience all of her amazing venues, wish we had booked her maiden voyage too!

In Grenada yesterday and Antigua today. So many spices to choose from in Grenada. Beautiful beaches. All of these islands have remains of old forts. They have all been fought over by countries hoping to increase their empire. Visited a pineapple plantation today then onto Freyes beach, where I collected seashells on the white sand beach. Amazing sunset as we sailed out of Antigua.
