~ The history of our Skiber ~

Our ancestors have lived and farmed in Tregony and the surrounding villages for hundreds of years, and resided in the buildings on this particular plot of land for a few generations.

In 1993 we built our cottage (Lastpenny) on the site of a small dwelling that had been used for washing and cooking by our family living in the main cottage on the hill. Over time, the building became surplus to requirements and fell into disrepair.

At the same time, an old barn between the cottages was converted into a large store room and garage. However, in 2022 this was transformed into the Skiber. Skiber means ‘barn’ in Cornish.
