Here are some things to do in Belize on your next family getaway to the Caribbean!

Did you know that Rastas live a Rastafari lifestyle based on so much more than just wearing dreadlocks and smoking g***a? Rastafari actually began as a political and religious movement in the 1930s by descendants of African slaves that were converted to Christianity but combines Protestant Christianity with pan-African political consciousness and mysticism. Besides their dreadlocks, you may notice that their primary wardrobe is made up of the color red, green, gold, and black which are the colors of their flag. They also live a close-to-nature life with a vegetarian diet.

With gentle waves and shallow waters, many of Barbados’ beaches are perfect for young children.

Reduit Beach in St. Lucia is a popular choice for families due to its nearby facilities, such as Splash Island Water Park. The calm waters suits kids, while parents can relax in the stunning surroundings.

The great news is that the Turks & Caicos Islands are a great travel destination no matter what time of year you choose to visit. However, March is a great choice for the average visitor, as it’s still part of the dry season and rainfall should be a minimum.

The primary attraction in the Turks and Caicos is of course the beaches. Some of the beaches especially stand out as being a great site for kids, due to their shallow and calm water, and unique setting. 🏖

A boat charter is another top-rated activity, and there’s a tremendous range of vessels, destinations, beaches, and snorkeling reefs to visit. Most charters are great for kids, and many of the popular tour boats offer water slides, wake tube riding, beach BBQs, and more. ⚓️

ALSO - did you know that the Turks & Caicos and Bahamas have their very own breed of dogs? Potcakes are mid-sized dogs that are a mixture of terriers and other breeds that were introduced into the tropical Atlantic in the late 1700s and 1800s.

Disney Cruise Line has shared a first look at Peter Pan and Captain Hook, the character sculptures on the stern of Disney Cruise Line's newest ship, the Disney Treasure! With the help of Tinker Bell’s pixie dust, Peter Pan is adding the finishing touch to the ship’s stern filigree, and Captain Hook can be seen leaning out a porthole close by. ✨🚢
