I’ll have some ow-wooga 👀 pieces from luxury labels (Chanel, Prada, Moschino, Balenciaga, YSL, Gianfranco Ferre, and on and on 🥵) balanced with plennnnnnty of unique, fun things at more everyday prices (slow fashion and vintage brands like Ace & Jig, Flax, Christy Dawn, Betsy Johnson, Liz Claiborne, Esprit, plus cool old denim, racks of vintage weirdo stuff from all eras - and mo’). I hear you’re not supposed to, so I really do try to stock something for everyone 😂

ANOTHER vintage popup? In THIS economy? YES. You can shop my world famous, tariff-free “under $20” rack, which will be perched right outside Design Bank’s doors (weather permitting). I’ll also have a few designer things on offer to benefit .for.change

While you’re here, may as well shop for eclectic (yeah, I said it!) housewares, trot over to for their vintage selection (I 💛 their men’s stuff and workwear especially) and go grab a sando a few doors down after. Bring friends and make an afternoon of it.

STORY SALE! TONIGHT AT 6:00!

My one and only child got his license yesterday. Yay! Right?

As he drove out the driveway to school this morning, I got sideswiped by a completely unexpected dump truck of anxiety, and (I guess?) grief over the whole thing.

Making myself (and hopefully YOU) a little happier today with this hodgepodge story sale. I’ll start at 6. Gifts for all of ‘em (ahem, you too). 💛

is joining forces with , who’re hosting the pop-up in their (gasp)irational East Durham vintage furnishings and housewares shop. No rain outs! So much parking! Private and semi-private dressing rooms! right down the block for 🥪 ! Other great shops down the street to stroll to (ahem, have you been to yet?)!

25% of all pop-up sales will go to Cardinals at the Window’s NC-based Scholarship Fund, a direct relief effort to support creatives who’ve been impacted by Hurricane Helene. If you haven’t checked out their epic benefit release of new-to-us music from so many artists we know and love (136 tracks!) we recommend you download it (link to info in Sidekick bio).

In addition to her usual fall vintage from all eras and modern slow fashion (mostly feminine, but some masculine, too), Jane/Sidekick will be offering a slew of markdown pricing on *lots* of great things, and rollin’ out her big ‘ol $20 n-under rack, too. Help clear these racks of goooood stuff for a good cause.

We’re heartbroken for our mountain neighbors who’ve borne the brunt of Hurricane Helene.

One way we’re hoping to help is by donating 100% of our rental income from any remaining October nights at The Sidekick to the hurricane relief organization of the guest’s choice.
