WOW what a response!!! The room is almost full for our Thursday, February 6th potluck luncheon. I can smell all that good food already!! If you traveled with us in 2024 and would like to go and haven't put your name on the list, please do so as soon as possible. After the January 31st deadline we will be opening it up to all past travelers or future ones!!

Also, people have been asking what they can bring. Just bring your favorite dish whether it be a dessert or a casserole or a meat or whatever!! In fact, if you want - post what you are bringing (if you know yet) so others can plan their dish. That way everyone won't all bring a dessert. But then again, would that be a bad thing??!!

Don't you just love getting on the bus and seeing all the smiling faces, some familiar and some new??!! Some passengers you've known all your life and some you've just met the trip before. I just thought it'd be fun to start a weekly passenger spotlight so that we can learn even more about these smiling faces. My plan is to spotlight a new passenger each Monday on this page. I'll pick a random passenger, do a phone "interview", get a picture then prepare the spotlight. Of course, before posting yours, you will be able to proof it and make any changes/additions etc. before it hits the world!! Don't want to be in the spotlight? No problem, that's absolutely fine! I'm starting this Monday with a spotlight on myself just so you can see what type info I'd like to include in the spotlights. It's up to you however as to what you want to say about yourself. I think it'll be fun and I hope you'll enjoy getting to know your bus family a little bit better.

Another amazing group today for the 2nd trip to Meridian for Merrehope’s Trees of Christmas. We had so much fun getting to know our new passengers and visiting with our repeat travelers! Such a fun day!!

Bet our day was funner than yours!!! We started at Merrehope in Meridian for the Trees of Christmas with over 70 decorated trees, mantles and tablescapes. Next it was off to Weidmann’s for a fabulous meal and divine almond lemon pie. We shopped a little in downtown before boarding the bus heading to Philadelphia’s Williams Brothers Store. We definitely did some shopping there. From hoop cheese to bottled pickle juice to Hoka shoes to fresh pigs feet - they had it ALL!! The day was filled with fun but the absolute BEST part was the passengers!! What an amazing group we have!! Hope to see you on the bus soon!!!

What a fun and interesting trip we had in Cullman, AL Thursday. We started our day with 52 passengers at Ave Maria Grotto. Here we saw the works of Benedictine Monk Joseph Zoettl after a film presentation on the history of the Grotto. The sculptures were amazing. Next it was off to Stonebridge Farms for a fabulous Southern buffet at Sophia’s. The event space was amazing as was the food. Next it was off to the Warehouse District for a little shopping (and walking off our lunch!) Our day ended at Steele’s Orchard for everything apple - fried pies, slushies, apple butter, apple bread and apple muffins. Such an amazing group of fun ladies and gentlemen. Can’t wait for our next One Day Escape!!

If you didn’t laugh until your side hurt yesterday then you must not have been on the bus to Cullman. We had a digital scavenger hunt while touring some fun and unique places. (Pictures to follow in another post!) Passengers were in teams of two and were given a list of things to find or do. Each item or action had to be documented by a photo. You’d think these people were flat broke seeing what they did to be in the drawing for the $100.00 prize. 😂 A couple of the favorite items/actions they had to find/do was to “play possum” in a store and to find a male stranger eating chicken. We had the whole town of Cullman wondering what the heck was going on!!! We may or may not be ever allowed to visit Cullman again just saying!! 🤷🏻‍♀️ If you missed this trip
you definitely missed some fun!! The winners were the Restless and Retired team from Starkville. Lots of other teams participated but didn’t submit photos. Where’s the pictures Liver Buddies? Sully Putts? VFW Wives? Rebels? The Two Wives? Murrah’s Try Hard?

Always a sad day to discover one of our sweet passengers in our “bus family” has passed away. Gail Prater was such a kind, sweet lady. Hopefully you got to sit with her on one of the trips or strike up
a conversation with her. Several times she’d call and ask me if I needed her to bring snacks for our trip. I always told her I appreciated the offer but she didn’t need to do that. On the last trip she took, she told me the day before that she was bringing everyone a snack whether I wanted her to or not. She was signed up for the December 3rd Christmas trip and was so looking forward to it. ❤️ I will miss you Mrs. Gail. Prayers for her family and all those who loved her.
