I am so excited for the T family! We just booked their multigenerational trip in a Lion King Family Suite at Walt Disney World’s Art of Animation. They were able to take advantage of the Early 2025 offer and will enjoy Skyliner access to both Hollywood Studios and EPCOT.

I have been booking a lot of AoA lately (it’s been pricing very well with these promos!) and have received such positive feedback about this resort.

Another cruise booked this month!

I am so excited for another of my favorite clients to go on their ALASKAN cruise! This one includes my favorite Alaskan spot (Skagway!) and is onboard on RCCL’s amazing Ovation of the Seas.

Did you know October is National Plan a Cruise Month?!

Cruising is one of our favorite ways to travel. We find there is truly something for everyone, and we love the idea of traveling to a new spot without us having to do the actual traveling!🤣

There are still a lot of great cruises over Christmas and Spring Break (one client just got extra onboard credit for Spring Break!), plus ALASKA 2026 (on RCCL) will be open THIS WEEK! Even Aly loved Alaska and keeps asking when we are going back.

Tired of spending time on your phone at WDW?

In the coming weeks, Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort will begin piloting a new service providing expedited entry to theme park attractions: Lightning Lane Premier Pass.

Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be offered in very limited quantities and will give guests one-time entry to each available Lightning Lane entrance in the theme park they are visiting that day. This includes attractions included in both Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Single Pass, but with Lightning Lane Premier Pass, guests do not need to select an experience time. Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be a premium offering, and prices will vary based on the date and theme park guests are visiting.

At Disneyland Resort, the Lightning Lane Premier Pass will be available first come, first served beginning two days in advance of a theme park reservation and will be valid for use in both theme parks. The first date it will be available is October 23, 2024.

At Walt Disney World, when Lightning Lane Premier Pass launches, it will be available to guests staying at Disney Deluxe or Deluxe Villa Resorts and may be purchased up to seven days in advance of their stay. It will only be valid for use in one park of the guest’s choice per day. The first date it will be available is October 30, 2024.

Let me preface this by saying I didn’t book this resort. We were moved here once the Fort closed, so I didn’t pay a regular rate. If you are moved from the Fort to another moderate, you do not pay extra. I did pay for an extra night, but I was still able to get the “hurricane rate” for about 40% off. Typically a standard room here is cheaper than Caribbean Beach but higher than Coronado. However, I saw it priced cheaper than a standard room at AoA when a promo was applied so that’s definitely something to think about. AoA is great for the Skyliner and theming, but if you are looking for more square footage in the room, Riverside would be the better choice.

We were in a standard 2-queen pool view room located in the Magnolia Bend section. I don’t usually recommend paying extra for these room types, but we did have a view of the quiet pool. The building was in a good location and it was only about a five minute walk to the lobby, the food court, and close to the main pool.
The resort was beautiful, but is spread out, so if you get an outer building it can be a bit of a walk.

We thought the food at Riverside Mill Food Court was good and the portions were big. We also ate at Boatwright’s Dining Hall (table service) and thought it was good, too. Aly loved the pool and went down the water slide maybe 50 times.

I loved the Princess and the Frog details in the room, and while I understand the dresser goes more with the theme of the room, I do not love those heavy dressers because I don’t feel like they are super functional. Listen, I know that is super picky and it wouldn’t deter me from staying here again, just a weird thing I have. I thought the same thing when we stayed at FQ and CBR. I feel like families need functional furniture in a hotel room. I will say the sink area has a lot of space, plus tons of room under the bed for luggage, so those are an option, but if you’re like us and overpack, you need storage.

Overall, we loved the room, the resort was beautiful, and the food was good!

The Wild Africa Trek is one of the coolest experiences I have done at WDW and I highly recommend it!

It is a 3-hour guided tour (not like Gilligan’s!) that includes a behind the scenes look at some of the coolest parts of Disney’s Animal Kingdom park. We watched as cast members fed the hippos some snacks, walked across a rope bridge over the crocs, and got to enjoy African-inspired snacks (the flower is edible and tasted a lot like lettuce).

This is another Enchanting Extra that is bookable 60 days in advance (like dining). It is prepaid, and there are discounts available (I got a little bit off using my Disney Visa), but you do need separate park admission. There are also a few other requirements like closed-toe shoes, no bags, and certain weight/height requirements due to the harnesses used.

Like Keys to the Kingdom, this is another tour I suggest for people who have already been to Disney but are looking for something different, or feel like they couldn’t fill a full day at AK.

Our CM guides were AMAZING; they were so knowledgeable, made us feel super comfortable, and seem to truly enjoy their jobs.

I would definitely do it again!

We are celebrating the first day of FALL (even though it’s still too hot for me!) by finishing our goody bags for our upcoming WDW trip!

One of our favorite things about Fort Wilderness is the scavenger hunt. Families hide things throughout the resort and then share the spot (and any other details) on the Facebook group. Aly likes to stalk the group and be our navigator as we drive around on the golf cart searching for the loot.

For her, it’s not necessarily the things she finds, but the adventure of it all. She also loves hiding things, so we put together some bags that include Halloween-themed stickers, rubber ducks, glow sticks, and more.

Fort Wilderness is such a great resort because it combines the fun of family camping with the magic of Disney.
