Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my experience of visiting during the best time of the year, May! It's the perfect time to travel since the weather is neither too cold nor too hot. 🌡️😎👌

During this time, you'll find that everyone is traveling as well, making it such a lively and vibrant time to explore the country. 💃🕺🏯

One of the key events that take place around this time is the 🌟📆, which runs from late April to early May. This is a peak period where trains 🚆and hotels 🏨 are packed with travelers from all over, eager to experience the beauty of Japan.

🚨✈️ If you're planning to visit during the first week of May, make sure you book your accommodations and travel tickets early to avoid any last-minute disappointments. 🛌🚅

Throughout my journey, I've experienced the unique blend of traditional and modern Japan, from breathtaking temples to buzzing city streets. 🗾🏮🌃

🐰 Rabbit lovers unite! 🐇

As this year is the , if you're visiting Kyoto, you simply have to visit the Okazaki Shrine, also known as the ! ⛩️

With a history dating back to the Heian era and once home to hares, it's no wonder that rabbits have become gods at this shrine. From the lantern hanging at the door 🏮 to the cute rabbit statues inside, this shrine is a must-visit for all rabbit enthusiasts. 😍

You'll even find stone rabbits alongside the usual stone lions found at ordinary shrines. And don't miss the rabbit statue at the hand waterhouse! 🐇

The Royal Guard and the Royal Zhu Seal are also super cute, and you might find yourself wanting to take them all home! 🤣

This shrine is known for praying for birth and bonding 💞, so even when it rains, you'll find tourists lining up to visit. It's that popular! 🔥

Shrines to see in Tokyo , 東京で見るべき神社

Temple Shinto, also known as Jinja Shinto, is a form of Shinto that places emphasis on the worship of deities at shrines, rather than at temples. However, there are still many temples in Japan that incorporate Shinto practices into their rituals, and one of the most notable examples can be found in Tokyo: Meiji Jingu Shrine.

Meiji Jingu Shrine is located in the Shibuya district of Tokyo and was built in 1920 to honor Emperor Meiji and Empress Shoken, who played a key role in the modernization of Japan. The shrine is dedicated to their spirits and is one of the most visited sites in Tokyo.

The shrine itself is surrounded by a forest of over 100,000 trees that were donated by people from all over Japan when the shrine was being built. The trees create a peaceful and serene atmosphere that makes visitors feel as though they have been transported away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Hey Japan Lover! Have you ever heard of Kushiage? They are Japanese fried skewers made of meat, fish and vegetables, served with a delicious sauce.

These skewers are often served in restaurants specializing in Japanese cuisine, called Izakaya, and can be ordered a la carte or as a tasting tray.

The ingredients used for Kushiage are varied: you can find shrimp, chicken, beef, fish, mushrooms, zucchini, eggplant, onions and many more.

The secret to Kushiage's success is the breading: they are coated with panko, a light and crispy Japanese breading, before being fried until they are golden and crispy on the outside, and tender and juicy on the inside.

The sauce for Kushiage is also very important: it is often made of soy sauce, mirin (a Japanese sweet wine), sugar and rice vinegar. You can also find other sauces such as mayonnaise, tonkatsu sauce (fruit sauce) or ponzu sauce (citrus juice sauce).

In short, Kushiage is a unique and delicious culinary experience not to be missed during your visit to Japan.

If you only have two days to explore Tokyo, you'll want to make the most of your time in this vibrant city.

Here's a sample itinerary that will help you see some of the best sights in Tokyo in just two days:

Day One:

Morning: Start your day with a visit to the famous Tsukiji Fish Market, one of the largest fish markets in the world. While the inner market is no longer open to tourists, you can still browse the outer market for fresh seafood and sample some of the delicious street food.

Japan details October's full tourism reopening: 6 things to know

TOKYO -- Japan on Monday provided details of its full-scale tourism reopening, following Prime Minister Fumio Kishida's announcement last week.

The country will allow visa-free entry for visitors from 68 countries and regions, as it did before the COVID-19 pandemic. Still, there will be some coronavirus-related hoops to jump through, such as providing proof of vaccination.

Here are six things to know about Japan's long-awaited reopening.

When will it start, and what will be required?

Starting on Oct. 11, the government will allow general travelers to enter almost as they did before the pandemic. The current requirement of signing up for package tours will be dropped.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, visitors from 68 countries and regions -- including South Korea, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, the U.S. and the U.K. -- will no longer have to obtain a visa.

This restores the visa exemption arrangements that existed for short-term stays before COVID-19. In principle, a short-term stay is 90 days, though there are some exceptions, such as 15-day limits for visitors from Indonesia and Thailand.

As far as entry requirements are concerned, visitors will need to show proof of having received three doses of coronavirus vaccines. Alternatively, they can show a negative test result.

"We will require submission of either a certificate of the third dose of a vaccine on the World Health Organization's emergency-use list or a negative test certificate from a test taken within 72 hours prior to departure abroad," Chief Cabinet Secretary Hirokazu Matsuno told reporters on Monday.

Shiraishi Beach :

Shiraishi Island beach is one of the three largest beaches in Okayama Prefecture and is about 500 meters long. Lined with guesthouses, the place is visited by many vacationers who come to take a dip once the summer comes. It is an ideal place to try sea kayaking or windsurfing, and visitors are invited to stroll along the clear waters of the Seto Sea.

This new tourist attraction is expected to open within the vast grounds of Aichi Earth Expo Memorial Park in Aichi prefecture.

Visiting this theme park will allow you to dive into the fantastic and magical Ghibli world that is loved by people around the globe.

Unlike ordinary theme parks, there will be no rides or attractions. Instead, the park showcases a recreation of Studio Ghibli settings and landscapes that you have probably ever seen in their movies.

The park will be divided into five areas, and three of them are scheduled to open in November of 2022, while the remaining two areas will be available for entry sometime in 2023.

Each area will offer a different unforgettable experience from various Ghibli movies that include “My Neighbor Totoro”, “Whisper of the Heart” and “Howl’s Moving Castle”!

This new park will not only be a perfect spot for Ghibli fans, but will also make for a fun and memorable family outing!

Toyosu Fish Market: Everything to Know Before You Go

You’ve probably heard that the iconic Tsukiji Fish Market shut down and a new market was opened in its place, in Toyosu. Here’s everything you need to know regarding the relocation of this Tokyo landmark and a full guide to the new market.

- First, Tsukiji Market was slated to close its doors in November 2016.

Then the move got pushed back. And back. And back some more.

But the relocation happened at last, with the wholesale fish market officially re-opening at Toyosu on October 11, 2018.

Over 600 merchants made the move.

Fun fact: Toyosu is almost twice the size of Tsukiji, at 40.7ha vs. 23.1ha, more than allowing the market to retain its status as the biggest fish market in the world.

When is the market open?

Toyosu Market’s regular opening hours are 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., though many shops and the information center only open from 7 a.m. Toyosu is closed on Sundays, national holidays, and often on Wednesdays. Check the schedule here.

How do I get to Toyosu Market?

The new wholesale market has its very own train station, Shijōmae Station, on the Yurikamome line (the same line that takes you to Odaiba). The buildings are connected directly to Shijōmae Station via an overhead roofed passage, making it good for all weather conditions.

Does it cost anything to enter Toyosu Market?
Admission to Toyosu’s fish market is free, and you can watch auctions from dedicated viewing platforms (more on that below). So you can save that yen for meals at the restaurants in the complex, many of them direct transplants from Tsukiji.

You’ll need to pick up a visitor’s pass when you enter the buildings, though.

What can I expect at the new Tokyo fish market?

The experience at Toyosu is very different from the lively, messy but also charming and authentic Tsukiji. It has a fairly sterile atmosphere and only certain, clearly-marked areas are accessible to visitors. The times of tourists getting up close and personal with the tuna are over.

Your experience is all behind glass windows now.

From the intermediate wholesale building, you have a very limited view of some of the market passages from large windows.

Tourists are not allowed on the market floor, and no, not after 10 or 11 a.m. or anytime either.

But you can see turret trucks on display and find some cool information on the seasonal fish of Toyosu/Tsukiji.
