The V&A Museum of Design is a centre for design and adds further acclaim to the city's culture portfolio. RRS Discovery is moored at Discovery Point in Dundee (next to the V&A) and open for visitor tours. Built in the city in 1900, RRS Discovery was the ship, which carried Captain Scott on his first expedition across the Antarctic.
There is no better way to see the city and its wildlife than taking a trip along the famous River Tay. Numerous tour operators offer trips from March to September. Bottlenose dolphins and seals are regular visitors to the estuary.
Dundee is now home to one of Scotland’s newest leisure pools and The Olympia is the number one destination for people looking to make a splash when visiting Dundee.

Verdant Works. The rattle and the roar of original restored machinery transport you back over 100 years to an era when jute was king and Dundee was its realm. This 5-star award-winning attraction is a hands-on experience for everyone.

We spend a large degree of our time travelling to Dundee for work and visiting family. We love the city and surrounding areas and the activities on offer. With the newly opened V&A Museum and refurbishment of the waterfront area, there is a real buzz around Dundee. The restaurants are really coming into their own and the different cuisines on offer, provide exceptional variations in choice.
To be in a beautiful unspoilt rural area, set within well kept private parkland and woodlands is a real joy. The peace and tranquillity at the cottage is a stark contrast to the busy streets of Dundee, yet only a few minutes away in the car. The placement of the cottage for exploring a large area of Scotland is second to none, with Angus, Fife and Perth literally on the doorstep.
