Arashiyama Bamboo Forest is a verdant old-growth forest, just 15 minutes outside of Kyoto. With stately temples scattered throughout the ethereal forest, the convergence of nature and spirituality lends a lovely, peaceful vibe to time spent under this canopy.
Kyoto is a city of hidden charm, with temples and shrines tucked away in corners everywhere. You never know where you’ll stumble across a moment of tranquility and beauty.
Of the 10 Disney Parks I’ve visited, I can honestly say that Disney Sea is my favorite. With incredible theming, shows, cast members, and rides, I could spend a week here and not do it all!
Disney Sea is the second Tokyo Disney park, and they just premiered their Fantasy Springs section. We were fortunate enough to get access to this area and it was INCREDIBLE! Words can not express how immersive this land is, and the incorporation of Rapunzel, Anna, Elsa, and Tinker Bell, had my teens positively giddy with nostalgia.

Which do you prefer: Beast’s fog-enshrouded castle on the rocks, or the original classic?
All checked in for four days at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel at Tokyo Disney! This resort is kind of akin to the Grand Floridian in Florida, but the service here is absolutely over the top!
Animal Cafes are hugely popular in the cities of Japan, as many people work long hours and live in small apartments. You can book time with dozens of differerent kinds of animals, though a little bit of research is required to find the more ethical establishments. Our kids adored these cafes and found the whole concept fascinating!
While bustling Tokyo is a massive metropolis, and home to nearly 40 million people, pockets of tranquility and nature abound in the many shrines, parks, and gardens. Make time in your travels to wander and you’ll find some of the best surprises!
The incredible, multimedia, interactive art installation at Team Lab: Borderless is absolutely mind boggling. If you’re in Tokyo, this is a can’t miss!
Senso-ji Temple is a popular destination for visitors, and it’s easy to see why. Surrounded by bustling street markets, tranquil gardens, and beautiful shrines, it’s a must-see in Tokyo!
Tokyo comes alive at night, with some of the world’s best nightlife! The twinkling lights of Tokyo Tower echo the charm of those on the Eiffel Tower in Paris, while the excitement of the flashing screens at Shibuya Scramble beckon you to join 3,000 other people in crossing one of the world’s busiest intersections, and the illuminated skyline makes an unforgettable backdrop for an evening of fun in Tokyo’s Odaiba district.

Wandering along the banks of the Seine is a true exercise in finding your joie de vivre! Peruse the bouquinistes' stalls, admire the work of live street artists, and enjoy a fresh picnic along the sun-dappled stone walkways near the water's edge. It's an unmatched scene anywhere else in the world!

On our LivItaly tour of Pompeii, our girls loved filling their bottles in the town fountains! It was a hot day, but they had fun, and learned so much! Our guide was Francesca, and she was fantastic at bringing the history alive for both the kids and the adults in our group!

Grabbing some food for a local market or vendor and finding some green space for an impromptu picnic, is one of travel's simple pleasures. Here are my top products for picnics on the go!
***Nylon Travel blanket - These fold up to size of your hand and will keep any water, grass, or bugs, off of you and your food!
***Nesting camping sporks - One end is a spoon, and the other a fork with a serrated tine. They nest together to take up no space at all in your bag!
***Ziploc bags - These are great for leftovers, trash, or in a pinch, a plate!

One of the best parts of a Disney Cruise, is the nightly sunsets! Barring inclement weather, you can always see it from somewhere onboard!
I always like to check the sunset times for our destination, and then decide whether to book main dining (6ish) or second dining (8ish). That way I can always enjoy the unobscured beauty each evening!

Wherever your adventures take you, you're going to need a small bag for your daily essentials. Start with a sturdy, but lightweight, theft-resistant bag. I like the Travelon brand, personally. My standard included items are:

Jack Jack’s Diaper Dash was so cute! The little guy in the middle was here to WIN! On the Wish, it’s located in the new multi-purpose Hero Zone, while on the other ships, it’s held in the atrium. I may need to find a baby somewhere for our next cruise…. Volunteers? 😂

Friday the 13th deserves a spooky Haunted Mansion video! 👻👻👻 One of my tips for this ride is to stand under the painting of the girl with the parasol, because this is where the door to the ride opens. You'll be the first one on, with less wait time. I love giving clients tips to save precious park time, so they can see and do more than if they were planning on their own!
