Need a quick bite? The next time you’re about to pull into the drive-thru for fast food, keep driving and stop by a grocery store food bar instead.
Why It Matters
Sure, a drive-thru meal can be fast and tasty, but it’s also loaded with calories and salt. Many grocery stores offer salad bars, soups, and even hot entrees that will be just as quick to grab — and a lot healthier.
Pro Tip
Get a healthier version of what you were going to order at the drive-thru. Instead of a fried-chicken sandwich, have a salad with grilled chicken on top. Rather than fries, try roasted potatoes. It’s the same food but better for you.
