Recently refurbished Maker’s Cottage in the heart of Thetford is comfortably furnished, tastefully decorated to a high standard and offers the perfect base for your visit to Norfolk and Suffolk. We call our lovely cottage Maker’s because we are passionate about local makers and run a shop (Leaping Hare) in the town centre where we promote and sell a range of artisan products including soaps, felted items, pottery, wood, honey, jewellery, art and more. You will find many examples throughout the cottage and details of how you can purchase and support local.

Thetford is one of the UK’s best kept secrets and the Ancient Capital of East Anglia. Two rivers, three museums (Ancient House, Charles Burrell and Dad’s Army) and so much more!
