Today let’s talk about entertainment at Walt Disney World! Disney is home to some of the finest shows and entertainers in the world and the level of performances you gain access to simply by buying a standard ticket are truly amazing! Each park is home to its own unique entertainment and events, from parades to live bands to theatrical shows and so much more. Earlier this week I had the privilege of watching Finding Nemo: The Big Blue and Beyond at Animal Kingdom and I was truly blown away by the artists and the amazing puppets that come together to tell this story! I also consider the Festival of Fantasy parade and Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire to be must do’s while at Magic Kingdom. Each truly brings the magic of Disney to life before your eyes in a way that only live performance can! Some of my other favorite shows include Beauty and the Beast at Hollywood Studios, Frozen Sing Along, Festival of the Lion King, and so many more! Have you heard about all the exciting changes coming to Animal Kingdom later this year? Animal Kingdom will be undergoing a massive shift with the addition of the brand new Tropical Americas land expansion! And while I couldn’t be more excited to experience this magical new area, complete with the first ever Encanto themed ride and restaurant, it is hard to be saying see you later to Dinoland USA! But it’s not too late! The classic ride “Dinosaur” will soon be undergoing an Indiana Jones re-theming, but I got to ride it earlier this week and had an amazing time. I also had so much fun getting to hangout with Chip and Dale in their adorable Dino costumes! If you have a Dino lover in the family, you don’t want to miss out on Dinoland USA. I spent a wonderful rainy day at Epcot’s Festival of the Arts this week and had the most amazing time!!! Epcot is fantastic year round, but visiting during any of their four annual festivals is a truly memorable experience. The Festival of the Arts celebrates all kinds of art- there’s special merchandise, food, entertainment, and tons of booths with some of the most amazing visual art you’ve ever seen. I also had an opportunity to check out the brand new Disney on Broadway exhibit that showcases props and costumes from Disney’s 30 years on Broadway! The exhibit was gorgeous but my favorite part of the festival was ending the evening with performances by some of broadway’s greatest stars, completely free of charge to everyone in the park! Want to try something different on your next free Disney night? Why not take a trip on the monorail and explore the three Magic Kingdom area hotels!! The Grand Floridian, Polynesian, and Contemporary resorts are some of the most amazing hotels at WDW and you can visit them for no cost! Enjoy the unique shopping, dining, and theming each has to offer and you’ll find the magic of Disney is just as prevalent at their resorts as it is at the parks. Traveling with all adults? I love the Monorail bar crawl that takes place at these three resorts! Starting at Enchanted Rose in the Grand Floridian sip on a French Rose martini inspired by Beauty and the Beast, then head over to the Contemporary and visit their Outer Rim lounge on the resort’s fourth floor, and finish the tour off with Trader Sam’s at the Polynesian. Trader Sam’s is perhaps the most unique bar at WDW with tons of themed drinks and special lights and events that occur each time one is ordered! Happy New Year!!! 2024 was an amazing year for me- I had the opportunity to book so many wonderful vacations for so many wonderful people. Last year not only did I book vacations at Disney Parks around the world, I also got to work on trips for Universal, Disney Cruise Line, Celebrity Cruises, Princess Cruises, Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and so much more! This year I’m looking forward to continuing to help people plan their dream vacations. Additionally, I’m excited to be spending the next two months in Orlando! Have you seen Skeleton Crew on Disney Plus yet? Earlier this week the new Star Wars show was released to rave reviews and Disneyland threw a special opening night party to celebrate the drop! Filled with familiar faces (human, droid, and alien) Galaxy’s Edge was aglow with festivities to commemorate a new addition to a galaxy far, far away. Galaxy’s Edge is truly every Star Wars lovers dream. Complete with amazing rides, food, merchandise, and out of this world character meet and greets it really has something for the entire family. Whenever I visit Baatu, I’m truly amazed by how immersive the land is. Everywhere you look you are surrounded by the magic of Star Wars and you’re guaranteed to leave believing in the power of the force and counting down the days until you can jump to hyperspace again! Happy almost Thanksgiving and Happy Moana 2 release day!!! It’s always been a family tradition of mine to see whichever new Disney movie releases on Thanksgiving (Tangled, Frozen, Moana, Wish etc) and I could not be more excited for Moana 2! If you’re in the parks this week, you’re sure to see a lot of unique Moana merch and special attractions to celebrate the upcoming release. Moana debuted a new outfit at her Meet and Greet in Epcot and there is special artwork currently on display in Hollywood Studios. But the best place to celebrate the new movie is Disney’s Aulani where the world premiere took place earlier this week. Aulani is a Polynesian paradise that truly has something for the entire family. Complete with nine unique pools, four spas, a real luau, tons of dining options, character meet and greets, and so much more it is a dream vacation in every way! Only 36 days until Christmas which means it’s time to talk about the holidays in the most magical place on earth! There are SO many ways that Disney makes the holiday season special at every park around the world, but let’s start with home base. At Walt Disney World, there are two special parties as well as unique winter offerings at every park and even Disney Springs! At Magic Kingdom from November 8th until December 20th you can attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Complete with special shows and parades, a new firework show, holiday themed character meet and greets, and even snow on Main Street! At Hollywood Studios, Jollywood Nights returns and feature a brand new show hosted by the muppets as well as tons of new character meet and greets and live music and winter treats. Epcot features the International Festival of Holidays with storytellers and treats unique to each country, and the Merry Menagerie winter animal puppets can be found at Animal Kingdom all season. Wanna hear a secret? Did you know I can help you with Universal trips as well as Disney ones? Nobody tell Mickey Mouse but I actually love Universal and am a passholder there as well as at Disney!!! I’ve booked many Universal trips for different clients and there are so many things I love about the parks. Happy Halloween!!! Halloween is one of my absolute favorite times of the year and there’s no better way to celebrate than visiting a Disney park. Whether you’re attending one of the Halloween parties like Mickey’s Not So Scary or Oogie Boogie’s, or simply admiring the special decor at the parks it is one of the most festive ways to spend spooky season! I also love dressing up as Disney characters on Halloween. Over the years I’ve dressed up as a lot of Disney characters and this year I’ll be spending the night as a genderbent Flynn Rider complete with frying pan and floating lantern. Still dreaming about my amazing time at Disneyland Paris last week! Did you know Disney Studios in Paris has its own Avengers Campus? While similar to the one in Disneyland, the DLP campus has an entirely unique Flight Force ride and special entertainment offerings that you can’t find anywhere else! It also has much shorter wait times than we’re used to over in CA 🙂 Disney Studios also has one of the best restaurants I’ve ever experienced in a Disney park and that is Bistrot Chez Remy! Be shrunk down to the size of a rat and experience the world from the petit chef’s point of view. It is truly an experience not to be missed and some of the best park food I’ve ever tasted! Disney Studios is also home to some truly phenomenal shows and a huge section for Pixar lovers. Truly something for everyone and I can’t recommend Disneyland Paris enough! Got to check another castle off my list this week! I spent three days at Disneyland Paris and truly had the most magical time. One of the things that makes Paris so unique is the amount of walkthrough activities they have that are perfect for the entire family! We loved visiting Alice’s Curious Labyrinth, La Taniere du Dragon, and Adventure Isle and getting to go at our own pace through the attractions. They also have an entirely unique Haunted Mansion attraction called “Phantom Manor” and my favorite Pirates of the Caribbean ride I’ve ever experienced. Disney Studios is also not to be missed and the shows performed there are some of the most amazing entertainment I’ve ever seen! When planning an international Disney vacation, it’s so helpful to have a travel advisor who’s actually been to the location you’re visiting. Having someone on your team to make sure everything goes smoothly is crucial when you’re flying halfway across the world! There’s a chill in the air and I for one am ready for spooky season!!! Luckily, there are so many amazing ways to celebrate Halloween in each and every Disney park! At Walt Disney World we have Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween party which is honestly my favorite event of the year! Complete with special shows, a parade, rare character meet and greets, unique merchandise, spooky treats, and so much more it is truly an event not to be missed. Similarly at Disneyland there is the Oogie Boogie Bash! Another AMAZING party full of special entertainment, decor, food, characters and so much more! But that’s not all- parks around the world have special Halloween events as well! At Hong Kong Disneyland for a limited time you can meet villain and hero duos all over the park and see a special show featuring everyone’s favorite villains. Tokyo Disneyland and Disneyland Paris also feature special parades, decor, and spooky treats this fall. Did you know you can no longer ride Tron with a virtual queue? As of this week, Tron has become a standby queue attraction! This leaves only Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind as virtual queue rides. However, all of these rides can also be purchased via Lightning Lane! The Lightning Lane system has been open since late July and it has proved to be a great system for those guests who choose to take advantage of it! By purchasing LL on the My Disney Experience App prior to your visit, you can significantly cut down on wait times and have the easiest trip ever. Now if you haven’t been to WDW in a while this may all sound like a foreign language. That’s where a Travel Agent can help you! I can walk you through each step of the process and teach you how to use the My Disney Experience app. I can also help you purchase and select lightning lanes and enter each virtual queue line! Did you know this week is Marvel’s 85th birthday??? There are many exciting Marvel things to do at the parks so let’s talk about them! In Walt Disney World the Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind is Disney’s first backwards launched rollercoaster. It’s one of my favorite rides of all time and the perfect way to start any Epcot day! Over at Disneyland, there’s the Avengers Campus which is home to Web Slingers and GOTG Mission Breakout as well as character meet and greets, special performances, and so much more! You can also find Avengers attractions at Disneyland Paris and on many Disney cruise ships during the annual Marvel Day at Sea. Last week we talked about all the amazing new attractions coming to Walt Disney World, but I think it’s high time we talk about the wonderful new stuff coming to Disneyland as well!! Every year D23 brings us thrilling info and I’m so excited for everything that’s on its way to Disneyland. First up is Avengers Campus which is going to DOUBLE in size with two new attractions!! Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab are two brand new rides coming to campus soon. The first ever Coco experience is also coming to DCA as well as first ever audio animatronic of Walt Disney himself. A new Avatar Experience based on Way of the Water is making its debut and to round it out Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is opening November 15. Disneyland is one of the most phenomenal parks in the world and each one of these announcements is another reason to visit soon.
