On 11 August 1093, the then Bishop of Durham, William of St Calais, laid the foundation stone for Durham Cathedral. It then took 40 years to build ⚒️

The dark nights will soon be here and what better time for a spooky walk around Durham city where you will hear tales of Durham history and ghostly tales.
Regular walks from 17th September available to join the Ghostwhisperer and Walking with the Ghosts of Durham for a 2 hour walk around Durham Riverside and city.
Advisory age of 10years plus and all children upto 17 years old must be accompanied by parent or guardian.
Please note Durham has a lot of inclines and declines so walk may not be suitable for people with limited mobility.
Regular wheelchair and mobility scooter walks are available for people who may want to do the walk but are unsure if they would be able to participate.
I can't guarantee that you will see or experience ghostly activitie but you never know you maybe lucky (or unlucky) to witness spooky goings on.
