The City of New Port Richey Recreation and Aquatic Center offers American Red Cross swim lessons!

Group Lessons run in 30 minute time increments Tuesday through Thursday for two week time periods. Morning Classes are offered from 8:00 - 9:50am, and evening classes are offered from 5:10-7:00pm.

Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas and West Pasco ReStores has exciting updates for shoppers and donors!

Our Clearwater and Palm Harbor ReStore now have extended hours:

Clearwater - 8 AM - 6 PM
Palm Harbor - 10 AM - 6 PM

Our new New Port Richey ReStore location is coming soon! Over the next few months, Habitat Pinellas and West Pasco will begin a build-out process at our new centrally located building located at 6431 US Hwy 19 in New Port Richey, right at the gateway to Downtown.

Last week we visited Tasty Tuesday Community Market at the New Port Richey Public Library and met up with the folks from Piperz Salsa! We loved hearing their story and learning about how they got started through SMARTstart Pasco!

You can catch them on Tuesdays from 10 AM - 12 PM in the library courtyard, or pick up a tub of salsa at Wright's Natural Market!

Do you remember Doc's Tower?

We love these throwback posts from the West Pasco Historical Society!

This aerial view includes Doc’s Tower at the intersection of U. S. 19 and Gulf Drive in New Port Richey. The structure was torn down in 1983 to make way for a Pilot gasoline station. According to David A. Henry, this was the property of optometrist Dr. Anton Sorensen, who came to this area in 1950 and located in the house behind the tower. He owned the front lots of what are now 5305 - 5510 U.S. 19 (Between Balsam and Gulf Drive). After his death, his widow sold the property to Pilot Gas Company, who sold to Globe Gas company, who sold to Marathon Gas Company, and the property is currently occupied Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
