A float through Killary Fjord and a stop off in Leenane is the perfect break from the buzz of Galway 🛥️
I first walked up to the small chapel on the Mamean Walk in Connemara 12 years ago, and it’s still one of my favorite places to visit! 🐑
We’ve had a lovely day exploring the Swiss cottage here in Cahir county Tipperary. 🌸
The cottage was used as a summer home. Do you think you’d enjoy this cottage as your summer getaway?

Wonderful walks on the Wild Atlantic Way 🥾
The walking path from Doolin to the Cliffs of Moher visitor center is one of the best ways to enjoy the coast ☀️🌊
Spotlight: Galway
There always seems to be something going on in Galway, and the main streets are always buzzing. Whether you’re checking out the market, the arts festival, or just strolling through town, there’s bound to be something on 🍀
🍀Pictures that transport you to Ireland 🇮🇪
What do you think? Do any of these photos give you a window into Ireland?
1. Livestock traders drink beer outside the only pub on Inishmaan, one of the Aran Islands in Galway Bay off the west coast of Ireland. This photo appeared in a 1971 National Geographic article.
2. A man carves out peat, a traditional fuel, in the town of Derryerglinna in the early 1990s. Today only 4% of homes use peat as their primary source of heating.
3. These headlands, called the Three Sisters, jut into the sea in the Di**le Peninsula near Smerwick.
4. Friends gather around a pony behind a Dublin home in this 1994 National Geographic cover photo.
5. Teenagers pass the time playing with a dog on a stonewall near their home in Connemara.
Kylemore Abbey is a Benedictine monastery nestled in the stunning Connemara mountains. We visit the Abbey on most of our tours, and it’s always a hit!

The diary of a day well spent on Inis Oírr 🐴
Inis Oírr is the smallest of the 3 Aran Islands, and is home to less than 300 people.
It’s a short ferry ride from Doolin, lasting only about 20 minutes, and we travel here with our group tours!
Another year is coming to a close. Here’s a quick look at some of our favorite moments, places, and days on tour.

Exploring the west on these windy roads 🗺️
Ireland Travel Club shared a post on Instagram: "Lovely memories driving through the west. The west always feels a bit wild and rugged, and exploring the windy roads on the way to Doolin, Doonagore Castle, the Burren, and Ballyvaughan is the perfect way to spend a day 🍀 Want to get off the beaten...
Soaking up all the colors if Kinsale ⛵️
Kinsale is in county Cork, on the southern coast of Ireland, and is at the start of the Wild Atlantic Way.
There’s always time for ice cream on tour! 🍦
We always recommend a stop in to Murphys Ice Cream to try our two favorite flavors that you don’t usually find anywhere else: brown bread, and sea salt!
The ice cream here is hand made in Di**le, and the milk comes from a rare, indigenous breed of Kerry cow. 🐮
📍The Blasket Islands ☀️
They are deserted now, but they weren’t always.
The islands were inhabited until 1954 by a completely Irish-speaking population and today are part of the Gaeltacht. At peak, the islands had 175 residents, which is hard to imagine now. The population declined to 22 by 1953.
The government evacuated most of the remaining residents to the mainland on 17 November 1953 because of increasingly extreme winter weather that left the islanders cut off from emergency services.
