TIME TO PACK:
One week until our Disney Cruise on the Disney Wish.
IMO having a successful first day sets the tone for the whole trip.
An embarkation bag for a cruise is a bag that you carry with you when you first board the cruise ship. It typically contains essential items that you'll need during the first few hours on the ship before your main luggage is delivered to your cabin.
1. Travel documents: This includes your passport or identification, cruise boarding pass, and any other necessary documents.
2. Wallet and cash: Keep your wallet with some cash for immediate expenses, such as gratuities, drinks, or small purchases onboard.
3. Medications: If you take any medications regularly, pack enough for the duration of the cruise in your embarkation bag.
4. Electronics: Bring your phone, camera, chargers, and any other electronic devices you may need. Don't forget any necessary adapters for charging your devices.
5. Change of clothes: It's a good idea to pack a change of clothes, such as lightweight and comfortable attire, swimwear, and a cover-up if you plan to spend time by the pool.
6. Toiletries: Carry travel-sized toiletries like toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, and any other personal care items you may need before your main luggage arrives.
7. Entertainment: If you have any books, magazines, or electronic devices like e-readers or tablets, pack them to keep yourself entertained during the first few hours onboard.
8. Snacks and water: Consider bringing some snacks and a refillable water bottle to have something to nibble on and stay hydrated before meal service begins.
9. Essential accessories: Don't forget to pack essentials like sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, and any other accessories you may need.
Remember to keep your embarkation bag lightweight and manageable, as you'll be carrying it with you until you have access to your cabin. Once you have settled in, you can unpack and enjoy the rest of your cruise with the belongings from your main luggage.
