REMINDERS IN VIEW OF SONA-RELATED ROAD CLOSURES

To our Valued Passengers:

Due to road closures and rerouting of vehicular traffic on Monday - 25 July 2022 - in relation to the State of the Nation Address (SONA), we urge you to leave your places of residence early to give yourselves adequate lead time to arrive at the NAIA airport for your flight.

The traffic rerouting plan in Quezon City may affect traffic flow leading to the Manila airport terminals.

Please be guided by the TRAFFIC REROUTING PLAN issued by the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA):

Motorists are advised to take the following alternate routes as heavy traffic along Commonwealth Avenue is expected:

NORTHBOUND (Quezon Memorial Circle to Fairview)

• Vehicles from Elliptical Road should take North Avenue, turn right at Mindanao Avenue then turn right to Sauyo Road or take Quirino Highway, then Commonwealth Avenue to reach the point of destination.

SOUTHBOUND (Fairview to Quezon Memorial Circle)

• Vehicles from Commonwealth Avenue should take Sauyo Road or Quirino highway, turn left at Mindanao Avenue, then turn left at North Avenue to reach the point of destination.

Motorists using light vehicles may also opt to take:

NORTHBOUND (Quezon Memorial Circle to Fairview via Marikina)
• Light vehicles from Elliptical Road (QMC) should turn right at Maharlika St., turn left at Mayaman St., turn right at Maginhawa St., turn left at C.P. Garcia Avenue, turn right at Katipunan Ave., turn left at A. Bonifacio Ave., go straight to Gen. Luna Ave., turn right at Kambal Rd., turn left at GSIS Road, turn left at Jones St., turn right at Gen. Luna Ave., go straight to A. Mabini St., turn left at Rodriguez Highway, turn left at Payatas Road to reach the point of destination.

• Light vehicles from C5 Road may turn left at Magiting St., turn right at Maginhawa St., turn left at Mayaman St. to Kalayaan Avenue to reach the point of destination.

Opo, hindi po ito tsimis lang. Totoo po na bubuksan na sa pangunguna ng ating mahal na Pangulong Rodrigo Roa Duterte at DOTr Secretary Art Tugade ang Philippine National Railways (PNR) San Pablo-Lucena line bukas!

Ang huling operasyon ng PNR Lucena-San Pablo commuter line ay noon pang Oktubre 2013. Ngayon, makalipas ang halos isang dekada na natigil ang operasyon ay bubuksan muli ang linya.

Oras na magsimula ang operasyon nito ay aabutin na lamang sa 30 minuto ang biyahe kumpara sa dating isang (1) oras na biyahe mula Lucena, Quezon Province hanggang San Pablo, Laguna.

Ang 44-kilometro inter-provincial railway commuter line ay magkokonekta sa Lucena, Quezon Province hanggang San Pablo, Laguna kung saan malaki ang magiging bahagi nito sa pagbuo ng PNR Bicol o 'Bicol Express'.

Tara na! Train ride sa probinsya naman tayo!
