A guest was staying at the cabin when the northern lights blew up Sunday night. She sent me these pictures. I am in awe of the beauty of nature and the sweet generosity of a stranger ❤️ There is still time to see this phenomenon in person. As a matter of fact, the closer we get to Spring equinox, the better the chance to see these gorgeous lights in the northern sky. We have really struggled with the water at . We shocked the well in early October and that helped for a short time but we have a lot of iron in our water and the water filter would be plugged after a weekend of use. Very frustrating especially for people that want to enjoy the whirlpool bath tub 😢 This weekend we changed out the water filtration system. Here’s hoping 🤞 this is the magic fix we need. If not, we will probably have to drill a deeper well. Pictures are of the filtration system before and after.

My sweet mother in law rode along with me to do some housekeeping at the cabin and we couldn’t believe the gorgeous views. Denali was out loud and proud today, in the bright, winter sun’s spotlight! Hello friends! Have you ever wanted to see the official start of the Iditarod sled dog race in person? I have been lucky enough to get to watch this a few times and I must say my favorite part is watching the dog’s happy little faces as they begin their adventure. They sure do love and live to run ❤️ is conveniently located just 20 miles from the official start of the only professional sporting event in Alaska! My absolute favorite thing is finding my NEW absolute favorite thing ❤️ I did that recently at a little outdoor fall market. I fell in love with the adorably happy art by I finally got to spend a little time at and was able to place them in their forever home ❤️ Let me know what you think and guys, you have to check out this very talented artist’s work! . .
