The joy of İstanbul is the intermingling of cultures.
It has a robust art scene where you can find the best of both worlds, traditional and experimental.

Göreme Open Air Museum
.
Göreme Open Air Museum was included in the World Heritage List by UNESCO in 1985. Its historical and natural texture has been meticulously preserved and its maintenance continues. More than 1 million people visit the museum, which stands out as a relief with the increasing number of tourists every year, and this number is constantly increasing.
Monastic life has been practiced for centuries. Between the 4th and 13th centuries AD, the region was home to intense monastic life, and the frequency of dining halls and prayer halls is remarkable. With this way of life, the region was the first point of the monastic education system.
The 1000-year-old Buckle Church, the largest rock church in Cappadocia, is located here. The structure is quite interesting and consists of 4 separate sections. It still fascinates those who see it with its living frescoes and architectural features. Many scenes such as the Ascension of Jesus Christ and the Descent into Hell adorn the walls of the church.
One of the most remarkable structures of Goreme Open Air Museum is the 12th century Dark Church. Since the building does not get much light, the frescoes are quite prominent. The church, which consists of columns inside, also has a dome. Many of the scenes on the walls are from Christian history and the Torah. Photography is forbidden to protect the building.
You should definitely see the churches and monasteries with their unique stories and architectural features; Monastery of Monks and Nuns, Elmalı Church, St. Barbara Chapel, St. Basil's Church, Snake Church and Çarıklı Çarıklı Church are also located in this region.

Derinkuyu Underground City
Where did people used to live?", we turn our route to Derinkuyu and explore the depths of this history.
Although it cannot be determined with certainty, it is estimated that the history of the city dates back to 3000 BC. Although some researchers claim that the history of the city dates back to the Hittite period, there is no data to confirm this. Derinkuyu, formerly known as Malakopi, was home to many civilizations such as the Kingdom of Cappadocia and the Byzantine Empire.
Turks came to the region after the Battle of Malazgirt in 1071
Derinkuyu, named after 52 water wells 60-70 meters deep, was not even inhabited above ground until the 1830s. Discovered by chance in 1963, the city was opened to visitors in 1967. Since then, it continues to fascinate its curious guests.
