Enesi Kuama’s long weekend here in Lae was another reason to get out for a chill arvo and experience some of Lae’s natural scenery. Was good to have the brother come over and this was a little peace of home for the lae fam on this end. He wanted to relax and unwind and he got exactly just that. Cheers Kumz! Hopefully we can get the rest of the gang up this side for a weekend, perhaps even chase a waterfall or too if we got out of the habit of the last minute trips haha! Enjoy the weekend family! Stay safe!

Mare - Lae, Morobe Province!

Definitely not Port Moresby related but just gotta say the past 2 weeks have been really something. In the midst of settling in I’ve dearly missed my entire family and friends and there were days that would be questioned as to whether i made the right decision moving to lae for work.

2 weeks later and i finally make it out of the city (where there is seriously literally nothing to do) and hit the road past the 9mile turn off towards the markham district in search of the well talked about Mare!

I’ve been told about 5 more spots so keen to check em out!

I gotta say dont be fooled by the lazy, laid back and boring city life. The best parts of lae is down the roads! my goodness Lae is truly majestic in it’s Scenery just have a look for yourself and i just gotta say POM lewa blo mi yu holim stap, but Lae woklo traim lo stealim stap!

Huge and massive thank you to the Lae family that took me out on the road trip. Wanbel stap na laikim yupla! Shout out to;

Jeremy is no stranger to rugged terrain across the kerema highway and despite the difficult road conditions especially during this time of the wet season a helping hand is always needed to get out of some pretty sticky situations.

Pictured below is Jeremy Mikaika Eri pulling out a 3 tonne pmv truck with his purely stock 79series Land Cruiser in a village called Lese Oalai along the kerema Highway.
