SAVE this post if you plan on visiting the infamous Hanoi Train Street, Vietnam! Located in the chaotic streets of Old Quarter it is truly a one-of-a-kind railroad, with trains barreling through narrow streets, in the residential area, just inches away from homes and cafes. Train Street is probably one of the most famous attractions in Hanoi. 🇻🇳 What you need to know, before you go! 👇 - Check the train timetable - it’s busier on weekends. 🗓 - Search for “Train Street” on Google Maps and walk towards the destination. 🚶♀️ - Once you are close by, you will have cafe owners approaching you to get you into their cafe. Simply pick one and they will take you through to their seating area next to the tracks. You might be seated in a café not of your choice. You can always move to another one once you got in, just be sure to support the cafe owner who let you in before moving to another cafe. 🫶 - Enjoy an egg or salt coffee while you wait. ☕️ - Arrive 20-30 minutes prior to be sure you get a spot, have time for pictures, and ordering a drink! Once the train is close, you will hear a whistle and a guy yelling “train is coming, watch out” 👮♀️ When this happens, the cafe owners will ensure you are moved further away from the tracks and within safety distance! Even then, you feel the wind of the train passing by as it’s only a few centimetres from where you are seated 🚊 Credit: freedomuncharted
