🎉 Disney During Covid: Part 2 🎉
I admit it... 😔 I was bummed when I learned Disney was indefinitely suspending their primary mid-day parades at their parks. We had our trip booked for September 2020 and I so wanted my girls to experience the wonder of the music and characters and dancing --- all coming together for a mind blowing magical experience. I don't know why I ever lose faith in Disney - they never let me down - but I just felt certain the Cavalcades they were offering would be lame in comparison.
So when we visited and actually got to experience Cavalcades first hand - man, was I wrong! 🥳 These mini-impromptu parades came throguh the parade route approximately every 15-20 minutes, and they were SO SO fun. It felt like practically every time we got off a ride we heard the music tuning up for the next one starting. Instead of one major parade, we were being treated to the characters and friends making their appearance and saying hello constantly. 👋They felt VERY VERY present, waving and interacting with my girls individually almost every time they came through. My girls laughed 😆 and danced and sang 🎶 and were awe struck each time. It was really just fabulous and one of my favorite parts of the day...that we got to enjoy over and over again.
🙌 And the best part? No waiting in line to see the characters. No staking out a parade spot an hour or more before it began. No crowd to deal with just to see.
🤔 In a nutshell, don't let the absence of the traditional parades and character meet and greets be the reason you don't visit right now. What Disney has created is still super special. 💕 Watch the video and wait til the end when Aurora blows a kiss right at Emily!
For those who have been, what is your favorite cavalcade you have seen? Mine was seasonal from Halloween -- I loved the villains!
