For those checking on Grey Goose - We heard from our guests who rode out the storm there, and they told us that the house is fine. The power is still out in the area as is cell service. The bridge at the main entrance was washed out, but the side exit onto Bills Creek Road is open and accessible. We were incredibly lucky and our hearts go out to all those who were not as lucky, especially the residents and business owners in Chimney Rock. If you are looking for a way to help, the American Red Cross is always a safe bet - specify Western North Carolina. If there are other groups helping locally, we’ll post here.
