"There are many things I can touch on about my trip to England and Scotland, but I'd like to start with Adam's ability to improvise. When I missed a train, Adam walked me through getting on the next one and stayed by the phone until I got on. Another show of his improvisation skills: when I arrived in Edinburgh, I didn't want to leave. I was scheduled for 2 tours and changed my mind once I got there. Adam didn't bat an eye. He adjusted my schedule, got a refund for my tour (which he did NOT have to do), and gave me suggestions for my time in Edinburgh. Hanoi is chaos embodied. Narrow roads with even narrower alleys, all worth exploring. Traffic has no discernible rules, yet also no accidents. French and Vietnamese architecture mingle, and an ever-present light mist coats the city in humidity. Freshly baked bánh mì, marinated grilled pork, and incense pervade the air. On weekends, the city comes alive as traffic is blocked off to create a pedestrian zone around Hoan Kiem Lake and the French District. There is so much to do, see, taste, and learn in Vietnam's capitol, and I want everyone to experience what this beautiful city has to offer.

A week in London never seems like enough time, but if you want to make the most of it, I highly recommend fitting these things into your itinerary 👇
1 Everyone knows Covent Garden, but have you heard of Neal's Yard? This almost-hidden alcove is home to independently owned restaurants, bakeries, and small businesses. Be sure to visit St. JOHN Bakery for the fluffiest doughnuts I have ever tasted!
2 Stroll around Little Venice. Take the Bakerloo Line to the Warwick Ave station and voila! You're in Little Venice! Walk along Regents Canal and admire all of the houseboats, before hopping on a boat yourself and taking it down the canal to Camden Market for some fun shopping.
3 Get out of London! If you only have a week, be sure to get out of the city and see what the rest of England looks like. Oxford, Canterbury, Salisbury, and Bath are all just a short train ride away and make for excellent day-trips!

Believe it or not, you can actually get bumped from your hotel if it’s overbooked. Scary thought, right?
It happened to me just last year on my first night in Hanoi! Let this be a lesson to me (and you): I used a certain 3rd party booking site to reserve my hotel because I had some leftover points I wanted to use, and I ended up getting walked to a different hotel that was definitely not as nice as the one I had booked. I was able to resolve it the next morning and get moved back to my original hotel, but could have saved myself a lot of headache. Honestly, serves me right! 🤦♂️
So, here are 3 tips to avoid the overbooking bump:
🕒 Check in as early as you can, or let the hotel know about a late arrival.
☎️ Confirm your reservation ahead of your stay by sending an email or calling the hotel.
🥇 Join the hotel’s loyalty program (if they have one) to make sure you get priority.
And the hack to trump all hacks? Work with a travel advisor!

Is Safari on your radar? Here are the top things to consider:
➡️ Start planning 12-16 months in advance. Most safari lodges are small and intimate so if you have a very specific one in mind, planning in advance will get you what you want. There are lots of places to “safari” so planning your adventure can also be flexible.
➡️ Be choosey with your dates. I work with my clients around the rainy seasons and weather patterns to pick the perfect time to go.
➡️ Narrow down your region. Would you prefer East Africa, Southern Africa, and South Africa? Narrowing down the area makes it so much easier to move forward in the process of picking the best country, lodges, etc.
