Mount Yangbew is one of the locals’ favorite hiking, camping or sunrise/sunset viewing near Baguio. It is also known as Mt Jumbo or Mt Jambo because it used to be the place for the National Scout Jamboree of the Boy Scouts of America when the Americans were in the region decades ago. Locals also refer to it as the little Mt Pulag because of the lack of trees at the summit which is reminiscent of Pulag.

The Igorot Stone Kingdom is a historical park that showcases Igorot culture. It is one of the places you must visit the next time you go to Baguio. Igorot Stone Kingdom is situated along Long-Long Road in Pinsao Proper Village, the Igorot Stone Kingdom will surely capture your attention with the beautiful layers upon layers of stone-formed castle structure. The Stone Kingdom, with an area of 6,000 square meters surrounded by tall trees and created resembling rice terraces, was built by Pio Velasco. From a birds-eye view, the place looks like a ruin of an old roman empire castle.

The Blue Soil Hills is probably one of Sagada’s best kept secrets. It’s tucked within the mountainous terrains of thousand old limestones. As its name suggests, it is a roll of hills in a lovely color of faint blue no bigger than a square kilometer surrounded by towering pine trees. This stunner is evidence that despite Sagada’s quick rise to fame instantly becoming a tourist hubspot, there is still a less explored place up there where you can enjoy a time of peace and quiet.
Blue Soil Sagada is typically part of a tour package called Marlboro Hill – Blue Soil Traverse Trek. The trail leading to Marlboro Hill leads straight to the Blue Soil. It is best to visit Blue Soil Sagada in the early morning, just after viewing the sunrise in Marlboro Hill. You can also visit the site during the afternoon before hiking to Marlboro Hill for sunset viewing.
