If adventure is on your mind, our villa is just a short boat ride away from South Water Caye, known for its exceptional snorkeling and scuba diving located in the second largest barrier reef in the World. For fishing enthusiasts (fly fishing, rod and reel or hand line), let us assist you in a full day or half day customized to fit your needs from river fishing to deep sea.
If that is not enough, we are a short 15 to 20 minute drive to a range of activities, including hiking, ATV and waterfall adventures, ziplining, butterfly farms, and horseback riding. Don’t have a car.. no problem. They can pick you up from the villa. Other excursions such as Mayan Ruins, cave tubing, ATM can be arranged with the guidance of our amazing staff!

What an incredible day of fishing!!! Staying at Shedrock Shangrila and passionate about fishing? Cal Tropic Tours comes highly recommended. They picked us up at our dock and, after a 30-minute boat ride and catching our bait, we caught a variety of fish including jacks, Bonita, rainbow fish, barracuda, and yellow eye snapper. Their gear is excellent, and their fishing skills are impressive. Many thanks to Elwin and Zwedi for a memorable day. P.S. we did a half-day fishing trip but for those who would prefer to fish a full day, they can also take you deep-sea fishing at Glover’s Atoll. We have done that as well and caught a ton of Mahi, Mahi and other fish. That trip was simply amazing.

Super excited about the sign that will be delivered tomorrow!! It will be double sided so guests can take pics from beach side and pool side. It will be installed above the swings!! This has been such a journey for Tony and me. There is no way we could have done it without Tony’s building experience, Aron building our beautiful escape, our Belizean partners who we have come to love so much and would not be where we are without you!! Our guests thank you!!!

This little puppy became my emotional support dog yesterday. Super super sweet dog. Does anyone know who this dog belongs to? I think she’s been sleeping on our lawn chairs our property manager said. Looks like she’s very well taken care of but I just wanted to see if she has an owner. if so, she’s at Shedrock Shangrila right now.

We had a rare opportunity to entertain our guests with a cookout around the fire last night, and it was delicious! Aaron's help with the fish was much appreciated. Our guests were from various regions of Canada and were a delight.
A little afternoon fishing with the boys!! We were hoping for a bigger fish but it broke the line. Everyday on the water is a great day!!
