Oakland International Airport is open.
โ๏ธ The airport is deemed essential infrastructure and certain services operating within are also deemed essential.
โ๏ธ If you have an upcoming flight you should comply with the Order and determine if it is essential that the journey occur.
โ๏ธ All of our OAK partner airlines are working with travellers amidst changing plans and schedules to accommodate everyone as best as possible during these unprecedented circumstances.
โ๏ธ For specific flight status information we recommend that you contact airlines through their website or app.
โ๏ธ All airlines are reporting heavy call volumes and many are asking only those with travel pending in the next 72-hours to contact airline service centers.
โ๏ธ They are also instructing those that purchased travel through a third-party travel agent to contact the travel agent directly.
โ๏ธ The Oakland International Airport BART station is open and trains are running. BART operating hours are now 5AM to 9PM weekdays, 8AM to 9PM Saturday and Sunday. Trains arrive and depart OAK every 6 to 8 minutes. NOTE: All riders must be in the system by 8:45pm to have a guaranteed ride to their destination.
โ๏ธ OAK's on-airport parking lots are also open.
โ๏ธ Airport-based Car Rental companies operating from OAKโs consolidated car rental center are open. Rental car shuttles from the airport terminals to the rental car center continue to run. Please check with your Car Rental agency through their website, app or service center to re-confirm operating hours.
โ๏ธ Several food and beverage outlets at OAK, also deemed essential, remain open. However, some outlets are temporarily closed and others have reduced their operating hours.
โ๏ธ Effective Thursday, March 26th, The State of Hawaii will impose a 14-day self-quarantine for all travellers arriving in the state as part of an effort to contain the outbreak of the novel coronavirus. The emergency proclamation will apply to all arrivals from the U.S. mainland and international destinations, including Hawaii residents. Residents will be required to quarantine in their homes, while visitors will be allowed to quarantine in their hotel rooms or rented lodging. Individuals under quarantine will be permitted to leave their residence only to seek medical care. Contact air carriers through their website or app for information about flights between OAK and Hawaii.
