Wilderstein was the home of Margaret Suckley, a cousin and confidante of Franklin Roosevelt, and is widely regarded as the Hudson Valley’s most important example of Victorian architecture. The 34-room mansion, once called Sefton Manor, was owned by Robert Leftwich Dodge and his wife, the cosmetics heiress Lillian Sefton Dodge. Your visit supports the Mill Neck Family Organizations' programs and services for the deaf and goes toward the preservation of the historic Manor House and beautiful grounds.

On day three of our Gold Coast tour on Long Island, we will visit the extraordinary Nassau County Museum of Art. This museum is the former Frick "Clayton" Estate in Roslyn Harbor. Most of the Museum’s 145 acres originally belonged to William Cullen Bryant
(1794-1878), long-time editor of the New York Evening Post. The grounds developed by the Frick family were among the foremost landscapes in America. You are invited to an after hour’s Cocktail Reception with heavy hors d’oeuvres in the museum after a docent tour. Museum Director Dr. Charles Riley plans to join us for drinks and discussion!
