Great pictures, love Great Keppel!!


𓆉Monkey Beach, Great Keppel Island 🏝️

This absolute stunner beach is a fav Snorkling spot on the island 🏝️🤿 You can do the 40 min hike from Fishermans beach to here, but with little ones and scorching 30plus days 🥵 we opted for a quick 10 minute boat ride return for $70 as a family of four, and even though it dumped rained on us on our way round it didn’t dampen our adventure as the sun came out soon there after 🔆
We snorkled the outgoing tide over this beautiful reef for hours, and even had our first swim with a turtle since our Ningaloo days 2 years ago 𓆉
This bay is a little quieter than the main area of Keppel, with its crystal clear water and abundant underwater wildlife our boys didnt want to leave, it was so good seeing them conquering Snorkling again 🔆💦🤿𓆉

Highly recommended to us and it instantly took a breath away! That coastline is absolutely stunning 😍.

Who is currently in Darwin??
We have convinced our good friends to host an event for us, we met this beautiful family at our big campout event and have stayed in contact ever since. ❤️
We are looking at Leanyer Recreational Park, if it’s raining we will change the venue.
Waterslide, swimming, skate park, so much to do!!✔️

Meet the Delaney family and we sold it all to travel, back in 2022. We drove off our driveway in Yanchep WA, after a hectic few months, on the 1st July and have never looked back.

👩🏻 🇬🇧 MUM aka Vicki, is originally from the NE of England. I met my hubby when I was backpacking here in ‘straya and after some too’ing and fro’ing between here and the UK, we finally settled in WA for 14 years where we had our 3 little wildlings. I have a deep sense of awe and appreciation for this unique country I now get to call home. The beach is my happy place.

🧱 🇦🇺 DAD aka Trent is a true blue Aussie bricky, originally from windy Warrnambool, SW VIC. He travelled the UK and Europe for a couple of years before returning home and meeting me to then continuing travelling Australia and SE Asia together. He loves working, footy, all sport actually, and the beach is also his happy place…and maybe the pub occasionally 🍻 😜

🌈 ♾️ AVA is our eldest daughter and going into grade 7 this year. She’s intelligent, creative, sporty and thinks outside the box. She wants to be a fashion designer and a pastry chef when she’s older. 👩‍🍳

🐎 SOPHIA is our typical middle child, she has a very big heart and loves animals and snorkelling. She’s going into grade 6 this year and is completely obsessed with horses. She wants to do dressage when she’s older 😱💸

🎆 🐶 DANIELLA is our little fire cracker, shes going into grade 4 this year but knows everything already 😂. She’s obsessed with dogs and wants to be a mother, a teacher and a pilot when she’s older!! 👩‍✈️

Who’s in Clare Valley SA??
This Thursday we are doing the Riesling trail on electric bikes, ladies only 🍷💃
It,s a fun day and great opportunity to make friends and would be a great 4 hours escape from the husband and kids 😂
$50 per person bike hire, or bring you own.
4 hours duration, will let you know times when we see numbers, sorry very short notice!

Dhilba Guyranda Innes National Park |

Although we lucked out with weather up the coast, we weren’t so lucky down here. We still did lots of exploring and we stayed inside the NP at Pondalowie Bay which was very quiet and peaceful. The beaches past Pondalowie are nice - Dolphin Bay and Shell Beach.

And we saw our first emus of the trip! They were everywhere down here. Such funny creatures.

Marion Bay would be lovely in a N wind but unfortunately it was S the whole time so it was just a windy mess.

SO HOW DID WE GO LIVING IN A CAMPER FULL TIME ON THE ROAD?
Weve had a lot of messages over the months asking a lot of questions about our set up in our ‘03 Jayco Eagle Outback camper…So here’s a honest post that will hopefully help answer a few of these most commonly asked questions?

Firstly our trip was planned to Follow the Sun in an affordable set up with some creature comforts, but also being able to go off road, off grid in remote places and get those million dollar views 👌

Eagle Layout- We loved the open air canvas style with 360 degree views and this layout for a family of four with a baby and a toddler was Perfect!

Set up/Pack Downs- They became second nature, and quick, only thing we suggest is to keep your one/two night stays to a minimum because these can become tiring stays on a lap! If not on a timeline longer stays are the Best!
Storage- Simplify is life on the road, keep clothing to a minimum, our tall cupboard was clothing for the kids and towels, bottom draws for Mum & Dad and we had a collapsible food pantry which travelled up right on the floor and everything must have a home and go back to its same place for organised pack up days! Keep floor space free as possible for these days also!
Shower/ Toilet- Off grid and stays longer than 3 nights we would set up our Dual ensuite for our Thetford Toilet and Joolca Hot Water System for showers, pending on our water supply also. Bonus with following the sun we hardly set it up and enjoyed ocean, lake or freshwater gorge showers everyday! Then when kids and clothes were real black & hairs matted…CP booking was in need next 😉🙌

Mods/Upgrades- Thank god for handy hubby, he made a lot of modifications & off grid upgrades to live comfortably on the road! The whole 12V system upgrade with a new 12V fridge was a Priority for Us!!

The place where we decided to call it quits! 🥲

After a bit of a failed attempt at Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool we pulled into The Dam for a beer and some lunch. This place is beautiful and a bit fancy but also family friendly. Definitely worth checking out!

For us, this is where we made the decision to finish up our lap earlier than expected and punch it home. The homesickness and toll that full time travel can take had been brewing for a while, we pushed on as we know not everyday is sunshine and rainbows but it got to a point where we weren’t appreciating the places we were seeing anymore because we just wanted to be home.

So off we headed east 💨 😌

Sitting atop castle rock, this amazing skywalk that gives you a bird's eye view of the stunning and luscious Porongurup National Park.

A simple 5km hike up and back through the forest to the top is not to be missed when in the Albany Region

The kids were sick of eachother by the time we got to Bicheno, so thank the lord we parked up next to .it.up for a couple of nights. We met at Cradle Mountain a few weeks ago, so the kids ran straight to the playground together while the parents chatted.

First stop - lobster shack for their famous seafood chowder. We also walked up to Whalers lookout and checked out the blowholes.

We are loving the east coast for Tassie ❤️

Rapid bay camping grounds✨ it's only 1.5 hours from Adelaide and what a special place it is. The water is super clear with a jetty to fish off. There was a little playground at the camp and nice green grass. The boys caught enough squid to fill the freezers. This camp was $30 a night 🌊

Very interesting, quirky little cactus display! Definitely something different and worth a little stop for a look and photo opportunity.

And yes, that’s a whale skeleton in their front yard… 😮
