In September I finally managed to visit the Meteora monasteries in Greece. Right before I visited the animal shelter on Thassos (feel free to check out my last post for that), Meteora was my first stop in Greece. ๐ฌ๐ท
However, it wasn't my first time in Greece and not my first time I tried to visit the Meteora monasteries. Already in 2021, I planned to visit them when I moved from North Macedonia to Bulgaria. Unfortunately, the weather was horrible in those days and I decided to pass on it.
If you've been there before, you might know how foggy it can get there, and if that's the case, you pretty much see... nothing. ๐
Just 20-30 min before I took this picture, I could see absolutely nothing. But fortunately, the fog cleared up and I could enjoy some incredible views.
If you've never been there, I'd highly recommend you to visit the Meteora monasteries. But be aware. It must have been the most crowded place I've ever been to. ๐
