We love to explore restaurants within walking distance to our Beachfront Haven. If you are in the mood for Italian food, Mimmo’s Restaurant is a fabulous option! Loved their Bruschetta, Garlic Rolls, Meat Lasagna and Pappardelle All’Aragosta… YUM 😋 ! Ate waaaay too much, but good thing we had a 20 minute walk back to help it digest 😉

Besides the AWESOME beach and our beautifully RENOVATED 2BR/2BA condo, one of the things that makes our location on Holiday Isle so desirable is that it is a residential peninsula with private beach access, so it will never get as crowded as the rest of Destin, as mentioned in several reviews from previous guests commenting on how secluded it is and yet close to everything, even during the peak of the summer season!

SAND DOLLARS are so fascinating! In a previous visit to Destin, I kept on thinking about how cool it would be to find a FULL sand dollar and asking in meditative prayer for one, as I walked along the beach. We had seen A LOT of them, but not a full one. As I walked along, I felt called to look to the sand bank along the shore, and there it was, a full sand dollar, sticking out from the partial wall of sand, as if the beach was telling me "here's the sand dollar you asked for, compliments of the creator!". Such a HAPPY MOMENT! I guess some wishes do come true in this wonderful place!
