This week we are kicking off a Japan trip for a family of 4 as a graduation present 🇯🇵. While chatting with our client she had a lot of great questions, and I wanted to share some tips for planning Japan. I have travelled to Japan personally, and lived with a Japanese family while studying their language in college. Let me tell you there is a lot to know and understand about the culture! This is not the type of trip that you want to just wing it. Japan is safe and clean and a GREAT place to take children. From Sumo to Anime to the infamous gaming districts; this country is wonderful for kids. There is a major language barrier 😃

A few tips:
-Cherry blossom seasons is late March to early Arpil typically, and their peak season
-May is a great time to visit, except fo the first week which is a holiday.
- Always plan part of your stay in a Ryokan (a traditional Japanese inn)
-Prepare your tasatebuds (and definitely your children’s) for the wonderful and unusual tastes of Japanese food
-Manners- it is considered impolite to speak loudly in public places
- Shinkansen- take the world famous bullet train
- Get outside of the big cities! Get to know Japan by leaving Tokyo and Kyoto, trust me, you will see a completely different version of Japan!
