This Sherman tank was pulled from the sea at Torcross and honours the servicemen lost in one of the greatest tragedies of World War II in preparation for D-Day.

December’s short days have brought some beautiful clear skies. Lovely to sit on the beach and watch the sunrise.

On a chilly winter day, what better than sit and relax watching the birds on the feeder, this morning we’ve had blue t**s, coal t**s, a robin and my favourites, a gang of long tail t**s. Also in the meadow we have jays, owls(hear those guys at night), a half tame buzzard, woodpeckers and ducks and moorhens on the pond with the occasional heron and egret.
