Last Christmas morning, we sent the boys on a Disney themed scavenger hunt that ended with a Mickey backpack filled with Disney goodies. At the bottom of the bag were “park tickets” for a trip in June and personalized Mickey luggage tags. I still remember their excited squeals and happy dances! 😄 They don’t talk about the gifts they opened last Christmas morning anymore, but they still talk about the scavenger hunt and the memories we made in Disney last summer.

Disney souvenirs can be quite pricey. If you’re looking for a “cheap” yet personalized keepsake to remember your trip, I’ve got just the thing for you!

First, be sure to pick up a FREE Celebration Button at the front desk of your resort or at any Guest Relations office at the parks. Your options include: 1st Visit, Happy Birthday, Happily Ever After (weddings, engagements, anniversaries), I’m Celebrating (literally anything… a new job, graduation, a pregnancy, a family reunion… or even just “the magic”).

Next, bring your celebration button to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Magic Kingdom (in Liberty Square), and they will personalize it! For only $3, you get one word in a color of your choice and complimentary artwork of either pixie dust, hearts, stars, or paw prints. You can also choose upgrade your design for an additional $3. You will get a text message when your order is ready but can pick it up anytime after that until park close.

This is also my favorite place to grab an ornament because there’s a huge selection, and they can also be custom painted (along with certain ears and hats) with names, words, years, and other artwork.
