Virtual Tour (360 photo) Tomb of Ramesses The Sixth
This tomb was begun by King Ramesses V (c.1147–1143 BC) of the Twentieth Dynasty. Although it is uncertain whether he was ultimately buried here, it is clear that his uncle Ramesses VI (c.1143–1136 BC) enlarged the tomb and used it for his burial.

Virtual Tour (360° photo) Pyramids of Jebel Barkal
- Northern State, Sudan, Nubia
In Northern Sudan there are several pyramid clusters. Here along the Nile is a famous mesa mountain and ancient temple complex called Jebel Barkal. Just adjacent is this grouping of Pyramids. Built during the Meroitic period, they are much like those at the larger and more famous site of Meroë. These have not had their tops blasted of by treasure hunters, as is the case at Meroë. Though ravaged by 2,000 years of desert sandstorms, they stand guard over the nearly forgotten dead entombed here.

Virtual Tour (360° photo) Monastery of Saint Simon, Cairo
- also known as the Cave Church
It was built in the 7th century and reconstructed in the 10th century. By the 13th century, however, the monastery was in ruin; there was an inscription found there that said that a Mutammar Ali had visited in 1295 A.D. Although though the monastery was ruined, its main features were preserved.
One of the churches in the monastery had numerous Coptic inscriptions inside and there were slabs of stones giving the history of many of the monks that had lived there.
