When I was involved in the New Age movement and wicca, I romanticized shamanism in places like this. My ideas were in sharp contrast to the realities of the destructive role these superstitions play.

While men are admired for pedaling snake oil, women are ostracized, run out of their villages, and sometimes murdered.

Most women targeted own land, are single and considered uppity, or are attractive and viewed as evil temptresses.

About 25-30% of the population believes the following:

*The Big Lie
*The Jan. 6th insurrection is a leftist plot to make Trump supporters look bad or that the rioters were "taking a tour" of the Capitol
*BLM is a terrorist organization and Antifa is responsible for wild fires.
*Democrats want open borders to gain votes
*White supremacy and systemic racism is made up
*There should not be a separation of church and state

The majority of this group are Evangelical Christians. These people have been around since the Bible was canonized. They have Always believed the Apocalypse is going to begin in 5 minutes.

The difference now is that televangelists, like this one, have woven their religion with conservative politics. They are preaching Trump is a messianic figure second only to Christ. Televangelists have the Most influence over this group. Since what Trump actually says is an incoherent word salad, they "interpret" what he is saying.

That is why it is very important to follow what these nutcases are spewing. The youtuber, TellTale, does an excellent job keeping up with them.
