I know, I know. It’s been over a month. I’m sorry guys! After finishing up several weddings in September, I had three more in October, and am currently preparing for two more in November. I also sent a couple off on their honeymoon to Mexico last month, had another client come back from a cruise, and am preparing to send another client off on their honeymoon next month! It’s been a busy and exciting season! I promise I’ll do better on social media 🙃 For now, please enjoy this video of me taking a break from planning in the office!
gEARing up for our trip to Disney next month! So pumped! 😍
Make the most of even your smallest road-trips! Look up what each state you are traveling through is famous for and try to experience at least one of those things while you are passing through! 🤩
I’m originally from Tennessee and you bet country music has a special place in my heart! But I definitely don’t know everything there is to know about Tennessee history - there are countless ways to grab onto a little bit culture, even if you are just passing through!
➡️ What’s your state famous for?
My family and I visited Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio earlier this week! Here’s what I noticed about this unique vacation spot! First, these roller coasters are AMAZING and SO FUN! Even my 10 yr old sister enjoyed herself!
.
If you stay at a Cedar Point Resort, you can enter the park an hour before other guests (9 am instead of 10 am), but we noticed that a lot of roller coasters don’t actually open until 10 am anyways. So, you might use the extra time to eat, make a game plan, or go ahead and wait in line for the big rides. For these rides, the wait times varied. Our shortest wait being about 15 minutes, but the longest over 2 hours. The park does offer fast passes, which would have helped, but even those lines had average waits of 30 minutes, some longer! Also, it’s not very cost effective for a big family, with fast passes being an additional $120 per person - quite an expenditure! We did not purchase fast passes and we still had a wonderful time!
.
We did the park in 2 days, which was the perfect amount of time for us! It allowed us to go back and do some of our favorites from the first day and get to the ones we skipped originally. Cedar point also has a water park, which I think could probably be done in a half day or full day. We did not venture over to that area due to thunderstorms during our visit. The park was very clean, lots of eating areas, and kid-friendly.
.
Now about Sandusky - Sandusky is actually a small town, which surprised me! The park company, Cedar Fair, has a mission to bring business to small towns, which I did not know about! Such a cool mission, but you’ll also need to realize that there’s not a lot to offer outside of the parks. You can definitely find some good restaurants and walk around along the Lake Front (Lake Erie) if you like! We took a short drive over Sandusky Bay to Marblehead Island to see the Marblehead Historical Lighthouse! This was a wonderful little nature area with a great view of Cedar Point ac
It’s time for your favorite segment! ‘Where To?’ Wednesday – this week we are talking about TWO destinations!
