We stayed at the Kimpton Palomar South Beach in Miami. I was thoroughly impressed with their level of customer service. They allowed us a late 1 pm check out today. They provide coffee and water in the lobby, and they have a cocktail hour from 4-5 with free sangria. The rooftop pool area is amazing with a lot of spaces to just relax and enjoy the views. It’s also located within 2 blocks of the Lincoln Center, which is full of restaurants and shops. Consider staying at the Kimpton Palomar South Beach during your next visit to Miami.

We were at Bimini Beach Club today.
Today we are at sea. We took some time this morning to explore the ship. We saw the pickleball court, the gym, and the many cool lookout spots on the ship. This giant net allows you to sit out over the water (It’s a little hard to get on and off of it. We got a workout). These swings are great for just relaxing and watching the waves. David Lowe Jr was super relaxed.
We enjoyed Razzle Dazzle tonight. We had a wide range of food from fried chicken, lamb, and smoked pastrami, to smoked crème brûlée, apple cake, s’mores, and a pear dessert. Our waitress recommended some excellent options. We loved it.
We did a catamaran excursion today. The water was so blue. Excursions are a great way to see the port cities while on a cruise.
Managed to secure a reservation at Gunbae, a traditional Korean barbecue restaurant. The food is excellent, surprisingly one of my favorite dishes was the grilled octopus, and they play drinking games with you. Such a fun environment.
We’re eating at The Wake this evening. We’re having fillet mignon, shrimp and grits, beef bone marrow, clam chowder, and wedge salad. Virgin was voted best food, and I can certainly see why. The foodie in you will love the options on Virgin.
Did you know that the sail away party includes free champagne and music that reminded me of my club days. So fun. This ship definitely has a fun vibe.
Instead of a traditional buffet, Virgin Voyages offers The Galley. It’s a food court, where your meals are made fresh to order. You can choose everything from diner style food, tacos, sandwiches, ramen, to sushi. Everything is all included in your fare.
